[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’m an olive oil lover, I’ve used other products from this company before and this one did not disappoint. It had the high smoke point we expect from olive oil and was velvety and creamy to the taste. I love their push for sustainability, but the bottle itself was a tad flimsy, still prefer glass on my olive oil. Their initiatives for planting trees and doing better for the environment are all the right steps. Good job overall, simple improvement would be the rigidity of the bottle.

I have to say that I typically buy the cheaper store brand oil, but wanted to try this out. It has a really nice, Mediterranean flavor that it brings to the table and is great for cooking and dipping. It doesn’t smoke up my kitchen, which I really like. It comes from 9 different areas, and is a sustainably sourced product, 100 % olive oil. Even the packaging is made of recycled materials. It has a pull tab seal and twist top lid that makes it convenient to unseal and open and close. I would definitely recommend this for great flavor and cooking with if you want a healthier oil.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am a little disappointed with this Sustainably Sourced Extra Virgin Olive Oil from Bertolli. First off, it comes in a plastic bottle and the cap doesn't seal well. In my opinion if you're going to put your olive oil in a plastic bottle, you would want to put a more secure cap on it than one that you can't even screw down onto the bottle. A cork stopper cap is always a better option. Next is the aroma. I love the smell of a good EVOO. One that is fruity, yet pungent. Sweet yet peppery. With a nice, mild olive aroma tying it all together. This didn't have any of those qualities. When I taste it, I feel like i am drinking Canola Oil infused with pepper. I know this is one of the more inexpensive EVOO's and you can definitely taste it. It is very thick and the bitter hits you right away followed by a strong pepper taste. There is no sweetness, or fruity, or olive taste for that matter with this oil. It might be okay for drizzling on popcorn, but I haven't tried it on that yet. This Bertolli s EVOO just isn't one that I enjoyed very much. I'll pay the few extra dollars to get a higher quality, better tasting EVOO.
