Hurricane preparation and aftermath. Occasional camping and tailgating trips. Its not like you spend a grand to put up on a shelf for 9-11 months out of the year. Its easier to justify the expense and can run all your essentials. Just right for what I was looking for.

I bought the basic model because I just wanted something affordable. It's a dual fuel. I started it on propane because I wasn't sure how long I would need it and also couldn't get to the gas can in the shed. It started right up after the propane got into the carb. I hooked it into the main panel of the house and got everything running that I needed. I am thinking of actually upgrading to a bigger model for the house and using this for the trailer. I have used Champion generators before and now I know why I did again.

I am a 63 year old woman who pledged she would never be cold again. Last February, we had Snowmagedon here in San Antonio, Texas. It was miserable! No electricity or water for 5 days! I decided tpo get a generator, after alot of searching I decided Dual Fuel was the way to go. I had alot of trouble at first getting it started because there are no words on the choke, just symbols. Finally, my son came out (he using them all the time at his job, Six Flags Fiest Texas), moved the choke to other side and it started on the second pull. It's not near as loud as I thought it was going to be and I can use it for my motorhome at 30A.

We use this generator to power our motor home while camping away from any hookups. It is smaller and more compact than we expected and it fits where we need it to on the RV. It is a bit heavy for me to handle alone but I can do it with help. I am impressed with the fit and finish.

Same day I bought the generator we had a power outage for about 11 hours. Cranked up my Champion and we had lights, refrigerator was on and we were able to prepare food. Despite the 5 hour break in period for generator, life was normal. Thks Champion!

I bought this generator for the dreaded power outage. It will be a nice piece of mind to have in the Michigan winters. I know my family will stay warm. Product had some shipping damage right out of the box. Customer service was good with getting what I needed to get it fixed. It did take a little time and a couple of phone calls, but in the end the generator runs and makes power.

I am using this generator to power my home because of hurricane Ian. We followed the directions, which was easy and the generator started. My friend highly recommended this product because he has owned one for over 2 years. He had not used it in over a year and powered it up and it still works!

This product is exactly what the reviews say it is. The fact that you have the run-time and the wattage to sustain critical items such as freezer, TV, PC, etc. is great. The other really good thing is that LP cylinders *don't go stale!* I cannot emphasize this enough. Since the role of this device for us is disaster recovery or hurricane preparedness, the key issue is to be able to power critical pieces of gear when FPL goes dark (not casting blame) It is also a plus to have in a camping/off the grid scenario. Time will tell how well this gear holds up; I am hoping it will be for the long haul.

These gen sets are great. I use it to power up parts of our home during power outages during storms. I've powered window unit a/c's, the fridge, deep freezer, and several other appliances. I even bought a second unit to power more of the house. The extra 30 amp generator cord is great too. It has 3 taps so it can power multiple devices at once. I've yet to run either of mine on gasoline. But I can tell you the propane side is extremely efficient and also seems to have less exhaust fumes than gas powered engines. A 20lb propane cylinder (standard grill size) will last thru a few multi hour blackouts, depending on electrical load.

I bought this model preparing for Hurricane Idelia. I put the oil and gas in and let it run for about 30 minutes with a small load on it. Thinking about the duel fuel, I would probably use the propane more, since I don't like to leave gasoline in the tank for any length of time. One thing I'd like to see is a wheel kit for the set./
