Awesome sound!

This soundbar is great! I love how you can adjust the levels of bass, etc. on the Vizio app. I play music through my phone and you can hear it perfectly in every room of the house. Movies sound great on it also.

Great Soundbar Value

Was not too interested in losing one of the two HDMI ports on the Vizio TV to use a soundbar. I had been using a 2.1 computer speaker system with the 3.5mm interface on my older Vizio that finally broke down. It had all sorts of port on the back, HDMI, 3.5mm for headphones, Optical, 15 D pin, USB, composite and several of each. The new Vizio had to be a 40" no more due to space available in the bedroom. Unbelievable it only weighed 11 pounds vs the old one a good 30 lbs. It had just two HDMI, a USB and one optical ports. Tried using a converter optical to 3.5mm to my speakers however, the software in the new TV did not have the ability to play both TV speakers and the optical out or by optical only with variable volume. So, the TV speakers would work with variable volume but the optical out was a fixed line level. Turned out to be a complete pain compared to the old TV, an XVT373SV model. Interestingly, today's Vizio TV's in the smaller screen sizes do not a lot of connectivity on the back panel. After investigating, I decided a Vizio soundbar with the HDMI arc would solve my issues and I'd have to do away with the computer speakers. Found one called the 2.1 soundbar which is 30" in width and won't fit using the legs on the TV. Not a big problem. Once I connected the soundbar, everything was mostly auto connected and functioning. Now I had to use the blue tooth to adjust any of the sound levels settings so I got the Vizio app and had some issues with connecting blue tooth with the soundbar to stay paired. Finally, after about 6 attempts of pair and unpair events, it remained paired and now works each time the TV is turned on etc. It's really a nice sounding device and the TV speakers are completely dwarfed and probably considered almost worthless when compared to this 2.1 soundbar.

Great sound, excellent value for the price point

We’re using this with a 75” TV in our first-floor family room of a bi-level, and it has completely changed our viewing experience. The price was very affordable, setup was straightforward and easy, and it works perfectly with our Samsung TV. It feels sturdy, looks great in the space, and honestly made movie nights and everyday TV watching so much better. For the quality you’re getting, the price truly can’t be beat. We love it so much that we’re already considering buying a second one for our upstairs TV. Highly recommend if you want great quality without spending a fortune.

This sound bar has bass and clarity!

Sounds great! Once you use the app and disable the “virtual x” in the advanced settings. Hdmi arc from my LG tv works fine to control volume of the soundbar. Kind if disapoitned that the soundbar doesnt have threaded holes so i can reuse my sound bar mount attached to my tv. My old vizio soundbar had threaded holes.

I don’t know if it’s the size of the living room that it’s in but at times it sounds echoing

It’s ok. Maybe spend a little more.

Decent sound bar. Only hooks up with Bluetooth or earc. Be cautious if you have an older tv as it won’t work. The sound is very good except some music channels sound funny. If I get another it won’t be this.

Better than you think.

Let's get the cons out of the way first. It doesn't come with a remote. That said, our Insignia remote can adjust the volume just fine, and there are physical buttons on the unit itself. Second, there's no optical connection — only Bluetooth and HDMI ARC. Finally, the downloadable app is pretty limited. It only offers two preset sound modes (Movie and Music), and downloading the app on more than one phone can be a bit of a headache. Now that sounds like a lot of negatives… but here's the upside. With a little EQ customization (and yes, ChatGPT can help dial that in), you can get surprisingly great movie sound out of this system. For $99, the sound quality and performance hit above average for the size and price point. Speaking of size — it's very compact, but it still produces solid clarity and noticeable bass. Again, for the price, I'm satisfied. If you're looking for pictures shaking off the walls and chest-thumping vibration, you might want to pass on this one. But if you want clean dialogue, noticeable bass, and a solid subwoofer presence in a compact setup — this is definitely worth picking up. I know the review technically lands at 3 stars, but considering the price and trade-offs, I'd call it a strong 3.7 out of 5.

Dont purchase

If you do not pick something to watxh within 3 minutes, it will disconnect. It will disconnect in the middle of a movie or show you are watching. You have to go back in and reconnect to your tv, it doesnt automatically it.

Didn't Last Six Months

Coming back six months after ordering. Despite having this less than six months and using it only a couple nights per week, the speaker has stopped working. Vizio support can't help at all, and I'm stuck using the sound from my TV. I will need to buy a new soundbar, definitely from a different brand. I actually thought the sound was very high quality, but it only lasted about 5.5 months before ceasing to function.
