Out of frustration with another large manufacturer's continued ice maker failures I chose this model, heavily infuenced by others positive reviews. The delivery gentleman mentioned that for every 4 LG refrigerator install he was involved, it was to replace my old brand. Learning all the features but it is well made and looking forward to a long lasting, hassle free experience.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This repair is still ongoing, icemaker is not making ice even after a new ice maker was installed. The ice cabin is showing 20°F. The craft ice maker is working perfectly. I want to hold back on the rating until the fridge is working completely.

I bought this April 18, 2023, and by August 2024 (just past the warranty), the craft ice maker needed to be replaced. Also, the control panel needs to be replaced. It took me quite awhile to hook the refrigerator to the app, and the people that brought it to my house took the freezer handle off to get it through the front door, and the handle never worked properly until then.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The best refrigerator I have ever owned. It is big - be sure to measure. We had to make adjustments to the upper cabinet for it to fit. But the quality of this fridge is exceptional. Even with the ice maker in the door - it has tons of door storage. The outer access to the right door is fabulous. The center drawer is great - no more opening doors to access the drawer. And it is deeper than expected. The options for ice are fun. We use the regular ice in the door ice maker and the craft ice in the freezer. My only complaint (and it's not a big deal) is that when the freezer ice is full, the ice falls out to the floor of the fridge. The opening in back is cut out to accommodate the ice maker but makes the opening too big. I just keep a yardstick handy in the kitchen to move the ice out. I love the craft ice.

Bought this fridge and nothing but problems from the ice makers. Door ice maker always jams up and having to clean out. Craft ice maker is junk!!! Had the fridge less than 2 years and already replaced the craft ice maker twice. LG service man even said they are junk but LG will not upgrade and make a dependable ice maker. All the gears are plastic and wear down. If you do buy one, make sure you spend the extra money and buy the extended plan, trust me you will need it.

Good size and function. I like the door in a door. Shelves could be a little more versatile for spacing. Unfortunately, one time the freezer did not shut and that, somehow, caused the fridge section to freeze. That's oaky except that it cause the ice / water line to freeze and burst. Now I'm trying to get it serviced.

What you will love is the capacity and it's ability to keep veggies fresh and meats fresh. It is awesome in that regard. What you will hate is a linear compressor that dies in 3 years. (the extra warranty to 10yr means you pay labor LG just supplies the compressor) This happened to me with two refrigerators. Yes you will have a warranty and you will wait for a long time to get a service guy. Then hope the service guy can actually get parts. You will either learn to love ice coolers or you will use a back up fridge while you wait and wait. I researched other fridges most have linear compressors. I went with one that does not. It's smaller and side by side but at least I know it will last

I’m 81 and I love the convenience of wide double doors to remove your food and to place larger dishes for family Sundays meals! The round ice cubes a hit with all ages for their drinks! I tell everyone to buy Lg you stand behind your products ! I got the package fridge gas stove and dishwasher! Comments from installation guys that these are the favorites! The door bell a real help w great grandchild opening door with out asking !! These are meant for family fun! I rate them a 10 ! The door condiment area opening without opening fridge is a real winner as florida has humidity and this saves losing cool fridge ! Thank you LG family from my family !

The in the door ice maker takes 4 hours to make any ice on a regular bases. The other door doesn't keep items cold. Basically the doors don't function like advertised. Let's discuss the ice balls, they have a flat bottom. In my opinion the refrigerator is all hype and not worth the money.

We bought this fridge less than 3 months ago. I wanted it for the craft ice, be careful what you wish for. 1 - Craft ice makes 6 balls in 48 hours, EXTREMELY slow 2 - Regular ice functions poorly. Regular ice takes a while to make and the bucket is very small. If you like a lot of ice, go with a different fridge. Highly upset with this. 3 - Regular ice not functioning after less than 3 months. The rotating ice tray wedged and no longer functions. I am calling our supplier once they open (irritating) The fridge itself is pretty cool, the basic features ill designed and engineered make this product not worth the money. I would definitely find a more reputable fridge. Due to rules on this review site, I will not name the competitor which is highly regarded and makes products that not only functions like it should but lasts.
