Many of my friends have one, but they all cautioned about the unreliable ice makers. Low and behold 6 months later, I have a service call in for the Craft Icemaker

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Finally received my LG refrigerator and it is great. Very spacious, drawers and shelves for organizing. Love the 2 ice makers. Took about 36 hours to get the initial ice but has been great keeping up with demand.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] There are many things I like about this refrigerator, such as the cavernous bottom freezer, the very convenient door in door, and the control I get from the LG ThinQ app, but it has a pretty significant deficiency, the craft ice maker. The ice maker in the top door dispenser works okay but has a small capacity. That's why the craft ice maker in the freezer is so important. We need to have enough ice to put in an ice chest to go to the beach. However, the craft ice maker only makes 3 or 6 cubes per day based on a setting. At the higher rate of 6 cubes per day it takes over a month to fill the relatively small bin, which is still not enough for a typical outing. We are forced to use ice packs to overcome this deficiency. If you don't need much ice, everything else about the refrigerator is wonderful.

We've had this refrigerator for over a month now and are totally happy with it! The engineering design of both the interior layout and cooling compressor is amazing. It is quiet and maintains the cold compartments and freezer. The outer door is an amazing feature. Who knew how convenient the outer door would be? It is wonderful. The shelves, and storage drawers are also very well laid out. Thanks to South Korean designers!

After watching the self install video, we went with that option. The part was shipped and received very quickly and installation was a breeze with the aid of the video. Excellent service LG!

We are so delighted to have so much storage space for our leftovers particularly when you have a bigger family. We love the option to open the right outer door (door-in-door) to grab beverages. It is so cool to have the dual ice maker with craft ice (ice spheres). Our neighbors give us kudos when we give them crafted ice for their drinks. Our kids fell in love with the crafted ice, too. All of our food and beverages stay very cool. The freezer is awesome as well especially having the full-convert drawer to have flexible water temperature settings. We like the lighting in the refrigerator as well as using the LG ThinQ app to use the wi-fi features for the refrigerator. We can control some of the functionality of the refrigerator from a touch of a button on my phone, how about that! Most important of all, is the wife is happy about the refrigerator purchase. A Happy Wife means a Happy Life! We look forward to using this LG refrigerator for a long time.

I have to stop getting a fridge with an icemaker in the door. I had confidence that LG had figured this out, but our icemaker hasn’t worked from day one. Had the whole icemaker replaced and no good, waiting for appliance repairman to com back tomorrow and see why it still doens’t work. So frustrated. Craft ice works really well and everything else about this fridge is super great, but the icemaker issue is still such a bummer.

We have had the repair man out six times to fix it and it is still broken. If you get this refrigerator, do not order it with the craft ice maker. You will be disappointed.
