Good buy with Caveats
This product is larger than most front door s and will need to be taken apart before it can be brought into the house. We had to remove a door which has electric wires, computer wires and water hoses. Tough but worth it n the end. Large and spacious. We have had multiple issues over the 6 years we had it with the ice ball maker, but none witht he acuat fridge or freezer. The door ice make tends to jam up and to have to bump it a time or two to losen the stuck ice. We found that the external door does not keep parishable drinks such as milk fresh past experation dates. So we ended up putting milk in the main fridge and things like tea, juice and lemonaide in the outer door area. It keeps everything fresh and is quiet except when the craft ice balls drop. Drives the dogs nuts. It seems to be pretty efficient especially if you use the LG app to see where and when the doors are opened and how long.

One issue
I bought the fridge for the size and the craft ice feature. The size has worked out excellent for my large family. The craft ice however has been an issue. First time the ice maker started to make horrible noises and stopped working the fridge notified me and started the LG replacement procedure for the icemaker. It went well and was replaced. A year later it happened again and I am still waiting on a replacement.
Hi Awaz, we understand you shared your experience with your LG LRMDS3006D 30 cu. ft. Smart Refrigerator with Craft Ice, and thank you for taking a moment to tell us about it. It’s great to hear the large capacity has been a strong fit for your family, especially with how much space this model offers. To help support smoother Craft Ice performance in the meantime, a few quick steps can be useful: ⦁ Power cycle the refrigerator for a few minutes ⦁ Remove any partially formed Craft Ice to allow a fresh cycle ⦁ Confirm the freezer temperature is set close to 0°F ⦁ Keep items away from the ice maker area to maintain airflow For more guidance, this LG support article is the best match for ice‑related behavior: https://www.lg.com/us/support/help-library/lg-refrigerator-why-is-my-refrigerator-not-making-ice--1400773605181 If you need further assistance, feel free to email lgdigitalcare@lg.sprinklrsupport.com. ^Rich
Unserviceable and ice makers break often.
I had the craft ice maker replaced with warrenty. Now 2 years later both ice makers have stopped releasing ice. It is IMPOSSIBLE to find LG repairmen where I live so I am looking to replace it.
Hello, Terri. We appreciate you sharing your experience regarding your LG Refrigerator, model LRMDS3006S. We recognize your shared experience with the production of both ice makers after your previous warranty service, as well as your experience searching for local technician coverage in your area. To help encourage your ice makers to release and harvest ice properly, we recommend confirming that the freezer temperature is set at 0 degrees Fahrenheit (-18 degrees Celsius) or colder to ensure the ice fully freezes. You can also press and hold the small test button located on the bottom or side of the ice makers for three seconds to manually trigger a harvest cycle, which helps verify if the mechanical components are rotating as they should. really like the water and ice in the door feature
so far it is keeping cold. the freezer space is cut down with the extra ice maker,if i leave it off and use the extra room, i am in fear that the ice may not start working again. i really like it,but it might not start working if it is left off to long. so i have been informed by LG. The water filter assembly could be improved. mine broke and had to be replaced right after the purchase Sometimes when replacing the filter the bypass switch won't shut and then it sprays water inside the refrigerator .

Why is Sam's still selling LG faulty appliances???
Had this 3yrs and find it hard to believe Sam's Club still sells these garbage LG refrigerators! When 1 out of every 4 of your paying members ends up needing 3 to 4 compressors plus 5 service calls for the ice maker you should discontinue selling the whole brand. Sam's and @LG what are we supposed to do throw it out after the 5 year warrenty we bought expires? Do you know how much a new compressor or entire ice maker kit plus labor costs? Stay away fromLG. Do NOT pay attention to all the 5 star reviews by people who were given a free refrigerator only if they left a 5 syar teview to keep it. Shame on Sam's Club get rid of this brand and give us a brand consumer reports deams worthy of our money!

Ours didn't last 3 years
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Get the warranty. We bought ours in 2023 and unfortunately in 2026 the cost to fix it cost just as much as a new one so i stress again get the warranty and extend it if possible.
Disappointing.
After several months it started a ticking sound. I had to turn off the ice maker. The directions are incomplete. I still do not understand them. A repairman showed me a switch that was mentioned nowhere. The size is good. The design is good.
Hi, Jerry. Thank you for taking the time to share your review about your LG Refrigerator, model LRMDS3006S. We always strive to ensure our kitchen appliances deliver quiet, reliable, and dependable performance your household expects from our brand. To help resolve unusual mechanical noises and manage your ice assembly, we recommend checking that the refrigerator is entirely level from front to back and side to side, as an uneven unit can cause the internal components to vibrate or cycle unevenly against the cabinet wall. It is also beneficial to verify that the water line valve is fully open and that there are no air bubbles trapped in the water supply tubes, which can cause clicking or ticking sounds as the ice mechanism attempts to draw water. For comprehensive, step-by-step guidance on identifying and resolving unexpected ice maker sounds, please visit our official support resource here: https://www.lg.com/us/support/help-library/lg-refrigerator-troubleshooting-ice-maker-noises-on-my-lg-refrigerator--20151808541249. Problem with ball ice maker
The ball ice maker has broken multiple times which is very frustrating. If we didn't have the issues with the ice maker the rating would be five instead of three.

We always strive to deliver exceptional appliances that provide a reliable experience, and we want to help ensure your craft ice maker performs properly. To help maintain optimal ice production and keep the mechanism operating smoothly, we recommend ensuring your freezer temperature is set at or below 0 degrees Fahrenheit, verifying that the home water line pressure is stable, and checking that the ice maker power switch remains in the on position. Not good
The craft ice maker has failed 4 times.. Seller and LG refuse to maintain the system. Very disappointed in both entities.
Hello. We appreciate you sharing your rating and feedback regarding your LG Refrigerator, model LRMVC2306S. We recognize your shared experience with the performance and noise level of your craft ice maker. To help support the consistent operation of your ice maker, we recommend checking that the freezer temperature remains set at or below 0 degrees Fahrenheit (-18 degrees Celsius) to ensure proper ice formation and harvesting cycles. Additionally, verifying that your water supply line pressure is stable and checking that the water filter is replaced every six months can prevent internal pressure buildup that may contribute to operating noises.
