Maybe it’s just me or I got a bad mattress, but this mattress was pretty hard. I could only sleep in it a couple nights and my back hurt like heck in the morning. My son has a memory foam mattress classified as medium support from another maker and I love his. Thankful Sam’s gave me a refund. I will donate this mattress and go look for another one.

We purchased this mattress for our camper. We received the mattress today and took pictures as we opened it. I looked at a lot of mattresses before ordering and decided to go with this one since it had really good reviews. And another factor was we would be able to take back to Sams if I did not like unlike others ordering off the internet. I was worried it would not expand the full 12 inches but it did in only 3 minutes. I was amazed. I only laid on it for a little while and it is soooo comfortable I did not want to stay on it to not disrupt it fully finishing the setup but after reading the instructions it says you can immediately sleep on it. After sleeping on it for a night or so I will update the review further. It is well made and was packed very well. Very happy with it so far.

I purchased a new mattress this weekend from somewhere else because I honestly thought that we have had this mattress for waaaay longer than a year. It's been uncomfortable for about 4 months now. We have rotated it on a regular basis to keep it level. But it is still uncomfortable. When I looked at my Sam's club purchases, it has been just over a year. I felt like it was way too firm before and now it has spots that we just sink into. I hope the mattress I purchased this weekend has what it takes. I wouldn't recommend this mattress for anyone with aches and pains prior to purchasing. Because you will have them after about 6 months of sleeping on this bad boy.

This mattress is heaven! The mattress I had prior to this was about 8 years old. I kept waking up with a tight lower back and my overall sleep was suffering. I purchased this in December and since then, my lower back pain has gone away. It gives the perfect support and the gel memory foam is so supportive. My boyfriend loves it too! He's 226lb and i'm 155lb and it works for both of us. If you're looking for an affordable luxury mattress then I would highly recommend this mattress. It's not only affordable but it's a quality mattress and easy to transport and set up.

Not sure why other people have had size issues but this mattress DEF expanded after several hours to 12". We did lay it flat on the low profile box spring and didn't sleep on it for a day. And another person saying the cover couldn't be removed to be washed is wrong...there's clearly a zipper for removing the cover on the bottom of the mattress. It doesn't get easier to buy than this...box has handholds and wheels so you just pull it to your truck or SUV and load 'er in! Slept great on it and for the $, it can't be beat. Sure, I had a $2700 Temperpedic full foam in past....but it was warm and while I dont sink as deep in this Serta as I did in the Temper, I didn't notice while sleeping or waking without any aches. SO...money saved and value received.

Comfortable and sturdy

We took a chance on this and bought it online from Sam's, sight unseen. I'm so glad it worked out. It's a wonderfully comfortable bed and we've been sleeping good on it. Our last memory foam mattress lasted about 7 years... This has a 10 year warranty.

We purchased our mattress online for in store pickup and brought it home and immediately put it on the bed frame. The mattress never rose above 10”. And in fact, in some places it rose less than 10”. We gave the mattress a couple of weeks but it never rose anymore than it did in the first few hours after it came out of the box. I suspect that because the mattress was defective and didn’t rise properly, it also was much more firm than it should have been and caused me back pain every night I slept on it. We called the Serta line listed on the product page but was told that because we picked the mattress up in store, we would have to work with the store as they don’t help with anything more than a warranty claim if purchased in store. Sams told us we would have to return the mattress in store for a refund, so keep that in mind if you also have trouble with your purchase. We had to rent a uhaul to return this faulty mattress to the store which was a pain as it was a king and heavy and difficult to maneuver. So overall this was not a very good experience. I expected that Serta would be there to help us if there were any problems, making the return process simple, but that simply wasn’t the case. Had we purchased online and had the mattress delivered then perhaps it would have been different. Since that isn’t made clear in the product description where they recommend calling the Serta line for any issues, I thought it would be good to relate our experience here.

I bought this exact mattress a few years ago because I needed a firm mattress. I then moved to another state and it was easier to buy a new mattress at my new location - so of course, I chose this mattress. Because of various back issues I had to have a firm mattress. This is NOT the same quality mattress and is quite soft. I put an earlier review indicating that I was suspect since it came is a plain brown box ... but I tried to give it a chance. Well, it is giving me great back pain to continue to sleep on this mattress. With a ten year warranty, what are my options? Will Serta replace it with a FIRM mattress?

I bought this mattress less than 2 weeks ago and have already returned it. It was extremely firm, like sleeping on the floor. It never expanded to 12 inches, 9 1/2 at best. Unzipped the mattress cover and it was 2 layers and not 3. Would not recommend this product at all.
