Overall Very Good Cook Stove
I like the very small top burner, a very good fit for smaller pots. Also like that I can remove the grill in the center and there is a grate under it for when we are using an extra large pan on one of the burners. The oven also is wonderful with the air fryer feature having a good effect on our chicken. Just plain a very good range.
Great features!
I absolutely love my new Samsung gas stove and oven. The stovetop has a griddle which heats evenly and is great for making a big family breakfast! It's easy to clean, which is super important to me. Oh, it has a self cleaning oven, too. This Samsung oven has an air fryer component, convection oven capability, broiler, and a sourdough bread proofing setting. It also has Bluetooth that alerts me to when preheating is complete and when the burners are being turned on ( a great option to have with little ones or even an elderly family member who may be forgetful). The controls are easy to use, the oven heats quickly and burners work great. I love my new Samsung oven! Oh, I love the broiler, too! I'm so glad that we chose Samsung.
So far so good
A stove itself Were range as it's called looks very very good it seems to function Extremely well. Of course the real test this time It's only been here three weeks. There are many features and we're still learning everything about it The BTU output is very welcome As it makes water boil more quickly and so far we haven't found Anything that's lacking
Seriously?? The Time does not display consistently
We replaced a 13 year old version of this range with this one today. Overall, it is great, BUT for some reason the time clock will not display consistently. The whole display goes blank when not in use. You have to physically touch the clock icon on the control panel to see the time. This is not mentioned in the manual, but my husband found other people complaining about the same thing. Supposedly, it's some kind of energy saver. Ha! We use this as a clock in the kitchen and I can't imagine it takes that much energy to run a clock. I guess it was a trade off that the oven light actually stays on when you open and close the door to check on a dish in the oven. We had to physically turn the oven light back on every time we opened and closed the door on our older version. Also, be sure you check all of the recommended settings for preheating and cooking on the griddle before using it and keep a pot holder handy because it may move around when you use a spatula to turn over something like a grilled cheese sandwich. The manual actually has a warning about this.
Disappointed
Something as simple as having a clock on the display that is always lit. At best it stays on for 15 minutes after setting time. Burner controls that are accurate and consistent. The same thing for the oven. Accurate and consistent temperature. These are the things I find missing. Having to have a law degree to understand Terms and Conditions before one can submit a simple review. Telling.
Sometimes second is better than first
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this model to replace an older Samsung that was similar but had a warming drawer. The first model we received we had to immediately send back because it made a buzzing sound behind the controls. This happened shortly after using it and then early the next day. The replacement unit has not had any issues. I tried to adjust the settings of the range from the mobile app but it is pretty limited. The one item I wanted to see on the app is the ability to change the volume of the notifications on the range. That is not possible.
Hello Beav, We understand how disappointing it was to receive a unit that made an unexpected buzzing sound right away, and how frustrating it can be when the mobile app doesn’t offer the control you want — like adjusting the notification volume. We’re glad to hear the replacement unit hasn’t had the same issue. For information on normal cooktop/range sounds and what noises are expected versus unusual, please review the guide below: Samsung cooktop and range: common sounds and operational noises https://www.samsung.com/us/support/troubleshoot/TSG10007324/ If you have specific questions about app settings, notification controls, or anything else within your range, please contact us directly so we can assist you further: 1. Range top switch failed after warranty expired
Front right burner (largest) is great for canning, making broth & stews. However, the infinite controller (the switch the knob connects to inside the control panel) has issues and immediately ramps up to high regardless of the setting it is set to (low for example). The large and small burner both come on even if you only select the small burner (inner burner) on the front right burner. Things cannot be left unattended on the front right burner without constant "babysitting" which is difficult making broth or stews where the contents are supposed to boil or simmer for a set amount of time. Based on my youtube search this isn't an uncommon issue for Samsung ranges. It was iffy during the warranty period and outright failed after the warranty period expired. All the other burners seem to work fine (so far). The oven itself seems decent enough. 6.3 cu. ft. interior of the oven will definitely hold a large/very large turkey. Though an inch or two of depth is sacrificed in the back of the oven for the air fry/convection component so it really isn't as deep as it looks. The air fry setting is fairly gimmicky. If you want to air fry, get an air fryer. AND...you need an air fry basket/sheet to use the air fry setting correctly. An air fry basket/sheet has holes cut into the bottom to allow the heated air to pass through. So although it says it is air fry ready - you need additional hardware to capitalize on it. Like I said, get an air fryer - no special hardware needed. Using the air fry option without the air fry basket/sheet is just using the bake setting with a fan - food will take just as long to bake with using the air fry setting without the specific hardware as it does to bake something on the bake setting. The oven itself has a VERY hard time with lower temperature holding - say 250 degrees to ~300 degrees. So cooking fish or dehydrating things is difficult because the oven cannot hold that low of a temperature - it either turns off or the heat bobbles up and down trying to find the right temperature (thermostat issue?). Also a full day of cooking cookies (a double or triple batch) will cause the oven temperature to spike up towards the end and burn the last couple sheets of cookies. So heating internally is consistently inconsistent. Trying to cook cookies with the convection setting just straight up burns the cookies, so meh? The stainless steel look is very nice and hides fingerprints well. We are slowly switching over all our appliances to the stainless steel design as the older appliances fail. The dishwasher is the last holdout, ha!
Greetings! We appreciate you sharing your detailed experience with the front right burner, oven performance, and Air Fry feature, as well as how the stainless steel finish fits into your kitchen. Your feedback helps us understand how our products are used and where improvements can make a meaningful difference. Let us provide help. To help with the cooktop burner, please see the Samsung troubleshooting link below, which includes resources and options to set an appointment: Samsung electric and induction cooktop temperature issues: https://www.samsung.com/us/support/troubleshoot/TSG10002324/ Regarding the Air Fry feature: it requires the air fry tray since the technology works by circulating hot air around the food (Maillard reaction). Here’s a comparison between countertop and oven air fryers: • Countertop air fryer: Delivers quick, extra-crispy results for smaller batches, thanks to its highly efficient airflow. • Oven air fry: Offers the convenience of cooking larger quantities at once, perfect for family meals, while still achieving a nicely crisped finish. This range also includes a dehydrating feature, with the lowest temperature set at 100 °F. For baking, please note that convection mode is not recommended for cookies; conventional baking is still preferred. Would keep looking
Aesthetically speaking, I love this range and it fits perfectly into my kitchen. However it wasn't long into owning it we found the downfall with the touch pad for the oven. The buttons rarely work when needed and we end up having to triple clean the entire face in order to *perhaps* have the buttons work. It's frustrating and I would go out of my way to not recommend this oven purely due to this major flaw. The front double burner works to extremes along the lines of heating and is more problematic than helpful with temperature inconsistencies.
Baking Problems
Range has some good features, the stove top and air fry work well. The oven is awful for baking. It was over-temperature from the time we bought the range last April 2025. Had tech out in November 2025, who replaced the circuit board. Worked OK until recently (March 2026), when a couple items were overcooked at the recipe times (and less than the recipe time and much less than I've experienced in any previous oven). Had a tech out again, who said that the oven is operating within specs. He did spend an hour testing the thing, but that doesn't explain it's recent performance. He said that the oven temp naturally fluctuates around the set point, within a specified range (looks to be +-18°F). But, it sure looks like it's not maintaining the set point. We've never had this experience with any previous range. Upshot is, I guess we'll have to constantly babysit this oven whenever baking. At least until we get tired of constantly checking on it when baking and replace it with a non-Samsung range. Not the quality and convenience expected for a new appliance at this price.
Don't buy it!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This range takes a long time to warm up on bake less than a year and a half of owning the interior coating started to flake off. My air cleaner goes off every time I turn on the range. Samsung says it's just cosmetic and will not honor the warranty. Stay away from this product.
