Not as expected for the price!

VIVOACTIVE5 Step count is not accurate! I think it counts every move I make as a step.... Sleep score/time is not accurate....I could just be in bed and it counts as "sleeping". Other features maybe ok but didn't use much. I hope I can return it and get a different one. Otherwise, never again this brand.

Smart watch upgrade !

This has been a great/different change from my Apple Watch ! The main differences that reeled me in was the battery life: last up to 4-5 days with my use (workout 4-5 times a week) after 1 charge ! The amount of workouts plans on the connect app that come with the watch and record my reps when performing the exercises, as well as my rest time and the active time to complete my sets. The design in my opinion is a lot cleaner looking than the Apple Watch there are multiple watch faces to choose from. The disadvantages in my opinion are : I can only use Spotify if I want to control the song from my watch this isn’t a big deal I just don’t like using my phone while working out even if it is to change the song, there is no find my option like with Apple so if you can’t find your phone you need someone else to ping it or use another Apple device to find it. The band that comes with it is a bit difficult to clip on to the appropriate adjustment. Overall this watch is a 9.5/10 for me with those slight set backs which are just personal preference factors. This is a great watch and a different upgrade ! Garmin is a GPS company so it’s not surprising that location is pinpoint accurate when it comes to weather and location. I recommend this to anyone looking to get away from traditional Apple Watch products.

Garmin girl

I have been a Fitbit girl since 2017. Well, I broke up with Fitbit at the end of November. After, actually, I will spare you the dirty details. Anyway, I am now a Garmin girl! I received my Garmin on January 1st, and I love my vivoactive 5! It is comfortable, and I love all the features. My only complaint is I have to connect to fitness pal to log my food, and I don't get all the features there unless I pay for premium. It’s OK. I don't mind typing my food in. Thank you for making a great watch!

Even better than my Vivoactive 3!

After my Vivoactive 3 stopped charging, my husband bought me the 5 and I absolutely love all the new features such as the body battery and the sleep score. I also feel like it correctly counts my caloric burn when I work out. Great new upgrade and I can set it up and see everything at a glance. It also has a long battery life. I wear it everyday and I only have to charge once per week.

Simple easy to use watch

Good features for tracking, easily customizable, and good longevity. I had a few vivoactive watches of previous models and this is an upgrade in every way. It’s not particularly rugged and doesn’t have bread crumb tracking for outdoor running, but if that’s not important to you this watch is perfect.

Exactly what the active person needs!

As a former college athlete who maintains an active lifestyle with regular workouts (4-5 times a week) and occasional sports, I’ve tried a variety of fitness wearables. The Garmin Vivoactive 5 stands out as the best by far. It offers all the essential features you expect from a fitness tracker while excelling as a smartwatch. What truly sets it apart is its phenomenal battery life—by far the standout feature of the device. Garmin continues to impress with a perfect blend of functionality and performance for both fitness enthusiasts and everyday use.

Very nice smart watch for a very reasonable price!

I previously had a Vivoactive 4. Overall, I liked it, but I always wished it had a more modern looking AMOLED screen. The new Vivoactive 5 has the nice, colorful screen I was hoping for, plus several new features that I really like. The battery lasts much longer in the 5. The process for entering reps and weight for exercises is much easier to use. It also seems to be more accurate at detecting which exercises I have done (Triceps Press, Bench Press, etc.). When I receive text messages, I can not only read the message on the 5, but I can also see attached photos. The new reports I get on the 5 are also nice.

Love how readable the screen is.

This was a replacement of my Vivoactive 4 which quit on me. I loved the 4 and love the 5 even more. I love that I can track my meditations, I also like the more indepth sleep report. I especially love the readability oh the screen and how much easier it is to access settings for my activities. Thank you Garmin.

Nice watch, good features

I got this watch as a replacement for my 4S that broke. This newer version has more features and a better interface (I think). However, things I don't like are the top button is hard to push sometimes to get the menu to come up and it's glitchy every once in a while for no reason. I couldn't sleep with my 4S because of the bright blinking sensor lights, but with the new 5 the sensor lights on the bottom are hardly noticeable. Overall I do like it.

Great! But a little less would be more.

By and large really like this new Garmin. Read reviews prior to purchase and they really helped. Long lasting battery for my needs. Still figuring out functions, would like more user friendly ways to customize for my needs. The lower button position is harder to push in to activate wearing watch on left wrist. If it were on top left much easier to access. Happy as new Garmin user. Quality is obvious with name.
