Works well for my needs (60 year old, biking and hiking mostly). Informative features like sleep tracking and heart rate. I like that I can edit the activities and apps that I use the most. The battery doesn’t last as long as I was expecting, but it’s still good. I bought some replacement bands because I don’t like the silicone; switching them out is easy. The mileage tracking seems pretty accurate when I compare it to other tracking apps or known distances. I like that I was able to connect my Spotify account so I could listen to music. The Garmin Connect app is really nice. I’m pleased with my purchase

I have owned this watch for almost a month now. I bought it to replace my Garmin Forerunner 920XT. I am no longer able to do triathlons so I wanted to get a watch with similar features. What I still do is weight train and cycle. This watch can track everything I do. I enjoy the sleep information, the heart rate and stress monitors. They are very helpful for me to analyze what I need to work on. Also, this watch looks stylish enough to wear with a suit unlike my 920. I simply change the watch face and it looks like a nice watch that compliments most dress attire. It is SO customizable! Get the information you want to see easily by downloading the watchface of your desire. The price point was pretty good too! So far I have nothing negative to say about this watch. I recommend!

The Vivoactive 5 has been a great fitness and health tracker these last few weeks. I may not be the most in shape, or use it for all of its activities, but it has done a fantastic job of setting benchmarks for my overall health and well being. If you are a hardcore runner, cyclist, or any other athelete in need of a fitness tracker I might recommend something on the higher end side of Garmin's offerings. I use my watch mainly for Mountain Biking, Soccer, and the occasional run. Although the part I think I find myself using the most is the hydration log. This feature has been holding me accountable for the amount of water I do (or don't) drink every day. I highly recomend this Garmin watch if you are new to the fitness tracker world, or just want a cost effective smartwatch.

I use my Vivoactive 5 to track my activity, body battery, stress, and sleep daily. I track my walks, runs, and bike rides. I look at my activity stats on Garmin Connect. I track the miles that I accrue on each pair of running shoes so that I will know when its time to replace them. My only negative is that sometimes not all the watch data transfers to Garmin Connect, and restarting the watch and Garmin Connect doesn’t fix it. This is not frequent, and doesn’t bother me very much.

I purchased it on a friends recommendation, I use it for workouts and controlling reps , not even 1 month lost 8 lbs, while adding bull, using the connect app helps me control, love it , another feature I never ever wear watches , these watches are transparent, love them

I LOVE the Garmin vivoactive 5, it's a great device. Way better than the Fitbit, which keep being defective immediately after the 1 year manufacturer warranty expired. But I developed a TERRIBLE rash after wearing it relatively consistently. Please improve this issue because the device is a winner.

I’ve had this watch for three weeks now. While it’s not my first smart-watch, it is my first Garmin. I am extremely impressed with the technology and its features, but the watch band has a major design flaw, which makes me not want to wear it. The rubber clasp that is meant to hold the excess band is too big. it does not keep the band tight or in place and causes it to come loose and flop around. This is not what you want while you’re working out, or even just wearing throughout the day. It’s quite annoying to deal with and I will end up returning the watch because of it.

Bought this watch about a month ago. It replaces a prior Vivoactive that I've been using for several years. This new one seems snappier, more responsive. I like the "sleep score" that I see each morning. I haven't figured out all the features yet, but I am glad I stuck with this Garmin model to replace its predecessor.

I love the watch as a whole. Love everything it tracks, love it for training, love the Garmin connect app. But the watch disconnects from my phone FREQUENTLY. It's not out of range, it disconnects while I'm wearing the watch and my phone is in my hand. And I'm not the only user with this problem. The unit itself is nice but it's not worth it if it's never connected.
