I bought this watch a while ago and I absolutely love it!! It has so many more features then the last watch that I had. I can keep track of everything that I need to keep track of all in one little nifty compact watch! I hope others will love their vivoactive 5 just like I do

I loved my technical Garmin (epix gen 2) so much but wanted something more practical for everyday wear. I’m loving this version for daily activities such as yoga and strength training at the gym. I’ve been wearing it everyday for several months and it still looks brand new! I would recommend this item for someone just getting into smart fitness watches who is interested in a low profile and just the basics in terms of fitness recording.

The watch performs well for the price point. The heart rate is within 1-3 bpm on average and the sleep score is very close as well. The display is vibrant and easy to read, although some apps are cut off on the edges as they were designed for larger watches in mind, but scaled back to work for this model. Where the watch lacks though is the distance algorithm for non gps runs. Sometimes it is dead on, other times, like on an indoor track, it will jump around from a 25 minute mile, to a 4 minute mile randomly. The watch display is great, but the physical glass is soft. I have multiple scratches on it after a few months of daily use. Not a big deal for me, but for those who would be bothered by it, I'm sure it's a deal breaker. Tldr; solid watch that performs well 80% of the time; build quality is lacking and a screen protector is recommended.

I loved everything about this watch but there was one critical part for me personally that wouldn’t work - receiving texts/calls. It doesn’t play nice with Apple. I returned this and got the venu3S and that feature did work, but annoying it’s advertised on this watch and jt not work. Aside from that it’s wonderful.

The watch seems thinner than my first Garmin and does everything I need for running, walking, golf scoring, and weight training. Being thinner allows me to wear it for sleep tracking. I have not used this model for inside treadmill use yet since the weather has been good for outdoor. Auto activity tracking seems pretty reliable as well as it’s fun to enable tracking in the golf course app so I can see how crazy of a game I played. The one big difference is this watch does not have the common “always on” Garmin display so you have to lift your wrist or touch the watch face to see current display.

I had a VivoSmart 4S and was given this new VivoSmart 5 for Christmas. It took me a few days to configure it to my liking and getting a watch face I like. Since then I have appreciated the 'Morning Report' to start my day. Love the longer lasting battery that lasts me about 10 days vs 5 for my previous ViviSmart 4S. Not too fond of the new look of the Connect App, but now I just look at the areas of interest. Overall, I am a very satisfied user.

This was a Xmas gift...didn't think I needed it, b/c my cell phone is always w/ me. However, it's nice to not have to pull my phone out of my pocket to check messages, alerts, etc. ...being able to just look @ my Garmin is great! Guess I did need it... Thanks, All! ASG

I'm not a runner but I have started walking and exercising for my health. I never felt like my Apple Watch tracked my watches properly so after a lot of research, I decided to give Garmin a try. I absolutely LOVE it! I love that it gives me a bigger picture of my health, tracks my sleep, and the battery life is AMAZING! I

I own 2 other Garmin watches, but purchased the vivoactive because as an older active person I could not read the data on the watch face easily due to poor contrast (for my eyesight). This watch has great features and is easy to read with the data contrast on the face. I wish it would go longer than 4 days between charges, but I love the watch!

I was given my watch as a Mother's day gift. I love each morning I receive a health and sleep repot. This watch tells you to rest, how much sleep is needed to reset your body! Love the option to workout with trainers on the app. I am still learning and am excited to see what else it does!
