I RECEIVED THIS PRODUCT IN EXCHANGE FOR MY UNBIASED OPINION, I LOVE THE FACT THAT MY CLIENTS COULD DO CONTACTLESS PAYMENTS,THE SETUP AND INSTRUCTIONS WERE VERY CLEAR AND EASY TO USE. I WAS CONCERNED ABOUT MY CLIENTS HAVING TO USE A DIFFERENT PAYMENT METHOD BUT THEY LOVED IT ESPECIALLY THE CONTACTLESS PART. I USE BOTH SQUARE AND ANOTHER PAYMENT METHOD AND NOW THIS IS MY METHOD OF CHOICE.

A great way to collect payment

I received this product in exchange for my unbiased opinion. The Square chip Reader is a great way to collect payment. I used the chip Reader to collect payment for my photography business. Payments, refunds, and invoices all worked out well. The app allows you to create a product list for easy check out as well as discounts. The app and device are easy to learn and there is a great tutorial to get you started. I really love my square!

Contactless and Chip Reader

I received a free square contactless and chip reader to review and I absolutely love this product. The effortless way of taking customers payment and you don't even have to touch their credit card just simply place their phone(if they have apple pay)or wallet over the box to read their information. I really love how the same box takes the chip reader. It's very easy to use and I recommend this product.

Easy to use, great product

I received this product in exchange for my unbiased opinion. I absolutely loved this product. I thought it was great that it's contactless and if the customer has apple pay or wallet, they just put it right up to the device and can pay just like that. It also takes chipped cards, so it's great to have that security. I think it's a great product and would highly recommend it.

Good for small businesses

This product was very easy and effortless to use. It`s compatibility to my Iphone allowed me to set up, insert and connect to the app right away. I was able to accept all types of payments, especially with cards that had the chip. It did take a little while to process the chip payments but I believe that most payment processors are having that issue so it was fine. I deposited my funds into my back the next day so that was very convenient. I think that every small business owner could benefit from this square reader.

A Must Have

I received this product in exchange for my unbiased opinion and I love it. It was super to set up, connected directly to my business account, and very accessible. The Square is so easy to use on the go and I was able to charge clients immediate ly which is a bonus because I found that dealing in strictly cash, some clients change their mind. It`s instant gratification for us both!

Amazing!

I received this product in exchange for my unbiased opinion. I was very happy with this product. The design and size cannot be beat- it was very easy for me to take along with me in my briefcase. It was very easy to use and set up- the square app does a great job of walking you through the process. I was able to take all kinds of payments- the interface was very user-friendly. It provides a great way to accept different forms of payment on the go. I would definitely recommend this product to my colleagues.

BEWARE

Beware of this device! I have been using Square for years successfully (swiper unit plug in). I received this unit as a present, and was excited to try it out. I set it up at home, double checked that it was connected by bluetooth, and ran several successful practice charges. I took it to an art show this past weekend, and following the EXACT same instructions linked the reader to my phone via bluetooth. After inserting the customers card into the unit, after each and every sale my phone indicated "Transaction Complete". I returned to the square menu and checked that the proper amount was listed for each transaction. I had just short of $2000 in credit/debit card sales. 3 days later when no money had transferred into my banking account I called square. Seems the contactless and chip card reader wasn't properly synced with my phone (even though my phone indicated the reader WAS connected via bluetooth) and was not operating correctly. It didn't capture a single complete credit card number. Im not sure if this reader works properly without also purchasing the charging dock. Im not the first person this has happened to. According to Square they are not responsible and Im on my own. 10 of 40 customers requested electronic receipts. Square reached out to them . As of today I have heard from 1 of the 10. I wish I had never used this reader. It's fussy -- and it doesn't tell you when there is a problem with a transaction. I learned a hard lesson (which cost me just short of $2K. Never again.

It sounds like these transactions were accidentally marked as cash, which is why they would have generated a receipt, but would not have been deposited into your bank account. I received this product in exchange for my unbiased opinion. I didn't have any many chances to use the product as I would have liked. I read the directions and attached the product to my iPhone. The directions were pretty straight-forward and easy to follow. Sometimes there were problems when swiping the card. I had to make sure to not swipe too quickly. I also had to hold the devise some while sliding the card through. It wasn't a horrible feat, but a little challenging if you have smaller hands. It processed everything properly. The sale amounts were put in and we checked afterwards to make sure the correct amounts were taken out.

Great Product

I received this product in exchange for my unbiased opinion assembling product was very easy to use and get connected to my bluetooth on my iPhone. It has 2 different devices you can use to take payments. I was able to easily set up and update the App so that it connected via bluetooth to my phone. The update did not take very long and the video tutorial was very helpful. I really like this product one of the easiet products to set up and use to take credit and debit card payments by far. I used the Bluetooth device and put the cc into the square it did not take long at all for it to process. Signing was very easy to do and my customers like the choice of getting an email receipt.
