Before I start of with the review for the Square Trader contractless + chip cards I received the product free to review. Now let's get down to business this Square Trader is fantastic and fun to use. My customers get a kick out of using the contractless feature and love that there is no NEED to pull out the card and swipe out for payment. (people like options) I also like the chip reader function, with all the new security measures chip reading in necessary. If you swipe a chipped card today, you as a merchant assume responsibility for security....dipping, and tapping EMV cards is the way to go. This id's a fantastic product and a must have for any size business owners, entrepreneurs, fundraisers....the possibilities are endless.

I received this product in exchange for my unbiased opinion. I found the `square` easy to use and set up on any device. I was able to set up and collect payments quickly and efficiently from both swipe and chip enabled cards. It helps making accounting and tracking payments easy.The square is small light weight and easy to store with in one`s purse, laptop or tablet case. The only thing I disliked is the color as it can get dirty easily. However, the color is a minor issue as it does not affect the functionality or mobility of the device.

I received this product in exchange for my unbiased opinion. It works great for small businesses, if you are doing say Partylite, etc or selling items on Craig`s List. Worked seamlessly with my Note 5 and I felt there were no security issues. Fees were acceptable.

I WAS CONCERNED ABOUT MY CLIENTS HAVING TO USE A DIFFERENT PAYMENT METHOD BUT THEY LOVED IT ESPECIALLY THE CONTACTLESS PART. I received this product in exchange for my unbiased opinion. I was very happy with this product. The design and size cannot be beat- it was very easy for me to take along with me in my briefcase. It was very easy to use and set up- the square app does a great job of walking you through the process. I was able to take all kinds of payments- the interface was very user-friendly. It provides a great way to accept different forms of payment on the go. I would definitely recommend this product to my colleagues.

I received this product in exchange for my unbiased opinion. The square contactless chip reader was easy to use and processed very fast. It is so compact that you can drop it in your wallet or even pants pocket. No swiping just dip/insert the chip enabled card in and the transaction is complete before you know it. Our customers loved how fast it processed. The only thing that I found a little frustrating was it not having an indicator to let you know it was going dead or had died (at least i didnt see it). I will definitely be using this going forward for sales.

I received this product in exchange for my unbiased opinion. The Square chip Reader is a great way to collect payment. I used the chip Reader to collect payment for my photography business. Payments, refunds, and invoices all worked out well. The app allows you to create a product list for easy check out as well as discounts. The app and device are easy to learn and there is a great tutorial to get you started. I really love my square!

Beware of this device! I have been using Square for years successfully (swiper unit plug in). I received this unit as a present, and was excited to try it out. I set it up at home, double checked that it was connected by bluetooth, and ran several successful practice charges. I took it to an art show this past weekend, and following the EXACT same instructions linked the reader to my phone via bluetooth. After inserting the customers card into the unit, after each and every sale my phone indicated "Transaction Complete". I returned to the square menu and checked that the proper amount was listed for each transaction. I had just short of $2000 in credit/debit card sales. 3 days later when no money had transferred into my banking account I called square. Seems the contactless and chip card reader wasn't properly synced with my phone (even though my phone indicated the reader WAS connected via bluetooth) and was not operating correctly. It didn't capture a single complete credit card number. Im not sure if this reader works properly without also purchasing the charging dock. Im not the first person this has happened to. According to Square they are not responsible and Im on my own. 10 of 40 customers requested electronic receipts. Square reached out to them . As of today I have heard from 1 of the 10. I wish I had never used this reader. It's fussy -- and it doesn't tell you when there is a problem with a transaction. I learned a hard lesson (which cost me just short of $2K. Never again.

I received a free sample of this contact-less chip reader, and I must say it gets the job done just right! It makes my payments much more swift and easy and I can send people receipts digitally even! So I save on paper, overall it seems worth the small asking price for any small business owner, I would highly recommend this product!

I received the Square contactless and chip reader in exchange for my honest review. I had previously used the square 3.5 mm jack card reader, but this is a whole new level. Everything integrated seamlessly, I could now actually accept chip, and the battery life was fantastic. People were pretty surprised they could pay with their phone now too.
