[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought the WashTower last month and we like it. It washes and dries well, and the cycles don't take much time. We like the appearance and functionality, especially the control in the center of the tower. My wife isn't that tall, so the controls being placed there make it very convenient for her. The tower is also very quiet when it is working except for the alarm that lets us know the cycle has ended. The volume is just right to allow us to hear wherever we are in our home. WE would definitely recommend this machine to others.

I really enjoy having the app. on my phone to alert me when cycles are finished or when it's time to clean the wash tub. It has taken the guess work out of laundry. The touch screen does take a little bit to get used to, I did read the manual but I find that I will still go back to it to figure out how to use different options. Otherwise, there are the main functions on the touch screen, I find it very convenient.

The problem is that on the dryer, all of the temperature and other settings are preset and can’t be changed. 99% of the time I dry my clothes on low temperature. There is no setting for low temperature drying other than timed dry without downloading from the app. The app looses connection to my wifi on a regular basis. Nothing else in my house looses internet connection. On laundry day, it is common for me to have to delete the appliance from the app and reload it. Further, this is a vacation home and our adult children vacation here too. So that means they have to download the app if they want to choose their own settings. I find it very frustrating that I can’t just change the settings to my preference. The suggested dryer setting for all of my clothes is low so it blows my mind that low temperature drying is not a regular setting. Every single time I do laundry, I lament out load- I hate this machine!

The washtower hit all the boxes of what I wanted. It is even quieter then I had hoped for. I am very impressed and happy with my purchase.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love it and hate it. The combined tower is a nice space saver in an apartment, previous units barely fit when stacked. Washes clothes as expected, rinses better than my previous washer, app is okay but my partner hates it…because a lot of the presets require the app (some delicate or handwash option), but you are still required to interact on the actual washer and dryer (so clothes in washer, pull out phone, select downloaded on washer, start on washer). I believe you can enable starting the washer/dryer on the app but then you completely disable the ability to start on the washer, it’s crazy they can’t give you the option. The 2 biggest issues are the rinse and spin, and the inability to just add more time to the dryer. If you need to rinse and spin, you have to use the app, and you can’t select the temperature. It won’t do cold rinses, only medium/cool and there are no guides or documentation discussing water temperature for the unit. Cold is required for a lot of clothes. Also, never had a dryer where you can’t add more or less time, not a big deal but there are just so many basics missing, and the app falls short on providing them properly. A lot of this can be fixed in

1 day to use the dryer, horrible noise. Called the service department, came to look at it. Said a needed a new part (bearing) it would need to be ordered. Yesterday it was replaced, did my first load and the same issue again. Then a did a second load of laundry ,at the end of the cycle there was so much suds i had to removed and the laundry was not wrong properly. I always use less detergent (Persia)than recommended. So that should not have been the issue. I have had front endloaders since the early 80’s. Very disappointed. Called the dealer , have not heard

This is our third LG laundry set. The first stayed with a house we sold and is still running. The second was about five years old and ran flawlessly. We sold that set to buy the stack model for aesthetic reasons. We would have bought the full featured model but needed the Graphite Steel color to match the refrigerator that it sits beside. I like everything about this unit except the dryer selections are extremely limited. Temperature and dryness settings are fixed in most modes. You can cook your clothes on high heat, run at medium heat on a cycle that runs long after the clothes are dry or repeat a shorter cycle because you cannot adjust dryness. LG deliberately handicapped this dryer to justify a higher cost for the next model up. Compared to the higher model, this unit has a lower grade tub material and no dryer steam function. I don't know why LG found it necessary to turn off the selection buttons. The unit is well made but I kind of hate it.

I have one installed in my “washer closet”. The water drain hose on it is about 60” long, it does not wrap all the way around the back as shown in photo - it’s at least 12” short! The photo on the website shows a hose that when shipping wraps all the way around the back of the washer: have measured one in a store to be about 100”! I can’t speak to the operation of the machine as I can’t use it! The seller will be taking it back. Such a waste of everybody’s time and efforts.

This washer-dryer combo is great. It is quiet and easy to use and is very convenient, so why the 3 star? It does not come with all of the features that it has on it's console. For example, I want air dry. Air dry does not come pre-loaded you have to hook the unit up to wifi and download the feature. Easy enough right? Wrong. The app that you load on your phone to download the feature is not compatible with faster networks! Yes, you have to have a slow network in order to download the feature to the unit!

We are absolutely enjoying our new stacked front-loading washer and dryer. There are multi-options that meet and exceed our needs. From our delicates to our farming clothes, these units give us all that we need. I LOVE how much our laundry room opened up by having this stacked unit. We now have the space to add a counter for folding and additional cabinetry.
