I was hoping this would work better than it does. There is no way this could cool 700sqft room. I couldn't even cool 450sq ft room. It was more on the quiet side than some of the others I have tried but it just can't keep the room cool. It almost seems like it pulls hot air from the exhaust tube but even it it didnt it still wouldn't cool the room .

I have 2 of these units and an older DeLonghi. I live in Florida and initially purchased the first 1 to have in case my central air conditioner went out. That older unit was not enough, so I purchased this unit in June 2021. My central Air conditioning is old and it finally died in August 2021. I set-up up my 2 units and quickly realized I needed another for my 1100 SF home. I have 1 in the main living area, 1 in the room that houses my parrots, and 1 in my bedroom. Using 3 of these does cool the house down to a good temperature and buys me time to save to purchase another central A/C unit. This unit cools well, however, I have to empty the tank often. I called DeLonghi and they said the high humidity in Florida is the reason that I have to empty the tank so often. The tank spout is very low on the unit. I put a paper bowl under it to empty it. When the temperatures were in the mid 90's, the AC units did a good job cooling my home. Now that the outside temperatures are in the mid to high 80's, the AC units have no trouble keeping up. Just know that this unit is designed to cool individual rooms, not a home. If I could change anything on this unit it would be 2 things. Maybe have an water tank that is easier to empty rather then the low short spout. The other is the window kit. The exhaust hose does not stay in the unit very well. I used packing tape to help hold it. There has to be a way the exhaust hose could snap-in securely on the unit.

After using this product for the first time, the point where the hose attachment connects the unit broke, thus making the hose attachment insecure. After researching this issue it appears as though the model sold at Sam's is an older model. A Sam's competitor sells a similar unit with more features and the hose connection point to the unit has been redesigned, and appears to be a significant improvement. However, the competitor's unit sells for about $100 more. I returned the unit and got a replacement. Hopefully I won't have the same problem with the replacement unit. Otherwise, the product works as advertised. Finally, I called customer service about the issue and after being on hold for about 35 minutes I finally ended the call. I also sent an email and received from the company a non-responsive email. Buyer beware!

It works very well and is able to cool down my large family room in just a few minutes. The directions were simple and easy to follow. I especially like the fact that it's not loud like other portable ac units. I live in Texas, so it gets extremely hot and humid. I'm so glad I'm able to simply turn on this unit and have a cool room in no time.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This thing works incredibly well, setup is very simple, and while very large and heavy, the included wheels make moving this from room to room not too painful. It comes with everything you need to get it going, you don't need to drain it unless you move it, and it doesn't need an external drip pan. The included remote makes using this is a large room, which it has no problem turning into an icebox if you're so inclined, an absolute pleasure. 2 things of note. I have not used this for a long time, so I cannot speak to how this effects your energy bills. I've seen people claim it helps lower them, but I can't speak to that. Also, some windows require finagling.

I won't say the other brand, but I got this unit to replace my old one and it's SO much better. Cools the room faster and it does it way quieter. Very happy with this unit. It has different speeds and different modes.I use it in our bedroom all the time. It makes it much easier to sleep in a cold bedroom. It is not too noisy it does not leak water either. I don't know how I slept before I got this Airconditioner. We have central air conditioner but this gives the bedroom the extra coldness I was looking for. I absolutely recommend this
