My central AC failed at the beginning of the warm season when the temps went into the 90's. In the crunch, we put this on the stair landing of my 2000 sqft colonial style home and with a couple of fans it helped keep the 1st and 2nd floors a tolerable 75 degrees during the day and night. After getting the central AC repaired, I now use it in a southwest facing bedroom that gets a lot of sun and is usually much warmer than the rest of the house. My only complaint is that i find it too loud to run in a bedroom while sleeping.

I purchased this unit after my 12k BTU window units compressor broke. Seemed practical as it's rated for 700sq ft and I only need it to cool 500-600. Window unit was a champ and had the room freezing if you wanted it to . This thing is so inadequate that on max fan and lowest temp it only gets the room down to 75 min. The lasko fan I purchased at the same time from sams puts this expensive trash can to shame . Will never recommend to anyone and will return ASAP.

For almost $500, more after tax, this unit should function well. The fan makes some strange sounds and the amount of “cold” air pushed out by both the AC and the dehumidifier parts is disappointing. I get more from a 3800/8000 BTU unit than this thing. It's going back.

Junk! Bought this unit May, 2022r at local Sam's Club. I used it twice while camping. I followed the instructions and completely drained the unit before storing. Last week, I plugged in my portable air conditioner and was surprised to get a flashing HL message. When I checked, HL means that the unit is full of water and needs to be drained. This unit was drained after the second use. before it was stored. I am very good at taking care of things hat cost good money, I need a unit that works

Long story short, our AC went out on a 95 degree day, so I ran to Sams, came home, hooked it up, and it started cooling pretty quickly. We have a small bedroom on the second floor of a Cape Cod and it kept it cool but didn't go beyond that room. It's very loud as well. So loud, that at 1:30 in the morning, I grabbed the mattress out of the spare bedroom and brought it down to the living room and slept there instead with just a ceiling fan running.

I purchased this unit as a back-up AC in the event that I lose power during hurricane season (I also have a Firman tri-fuel generator in case I lose power). I tested it today and it worked flawlessly cooling my entire downstairs area for several hours in the middle of the day. The high today was 88 and it cooled very quickly to a very nice 71.

We had terrible heat in Texas this year. I had all 3 units stop working during JULY n August 2022. They made a horrible bang n all these plastics pieces came flying out of the exhaust. . On all three units, One at a time. None of my units thermostats were set on high because of electric costs,for me. I read that Whitners portable units have dual exhausts because the heat is tremendous inside the units. I think DeLongi should not use such flimsy plastic blades on the humidifiers and the exhaust system needs an updated version like Whitners portables. Sams sells these products also.

I bought this a week ago due to my central ac unit running all day and not cooling the house causing an extremely high light bill. It was very easy to install & so far I love it. I put this in my living room and a window unit in each other room and I keep the central ac off and just run these all day & I have noticed a decrease in the daily usage for my light bill. It is not that loud either and the fact that it has a remote is pretty nice. Also the color compliments my furniture and decor in the living room :)

Used this during 100 degree week. Put on “78” and room feels very comfortable. We don't have an open floor plan but entryways between three main rooms are wide & this keeps them all comfortable. (About 700 sq Ft). Hose extendable to almost 5'. We have it on a 20 amp breaker with TV/cable box/modem and it's fine.

The connection of the hose to the insert is really poor. There is no coupling to the insert and since the 5 inch hole has to be far enough away from the edge of the window to provide a full exhaust, lets just say the insert doesn't fit fight in the window. Add that to the fact that the foam they provide is not only worthless but there's a fraction of what you would need, I took this back to Sam's. Wasted some money on parts but in the long run, it was a no brainer to take it back. Return was easy, thank goodness. Made my day after a frustrating, hot afternoon.
