Probe failure right out of the box. PF error code. Trying to return to SAM's, but out of stock everywhere. Will have to wait for a new unit to see if it works correctly.

I bought this a week ago due to my central ac unit running all day and not cooling the house causing an extremely high light bill. It was very easy to install & so far I love it. I put this in my living room and a window unit in each other room and I keep the central ac off and just run these all day & I have noticed a decrease in the daily usage for my light bill. It is not that loud either and the fact that it has a remote is pretty nice. Also the color compliments my furniture and decor in the living room :)

I have 2 of these units and an older DeLonghi. I live in Florida and initially purchased the first 1 to have in case my central air conditioner went out. That older unit was not enough, so I purchased this unit in June 2021. My central Air conditioning is old and it finally died in August 2021. I set-up up my 2 units and quickly realized I needed another for my 1100 SF home. I have 1 in the main living area, 1 in the room that houses my parrots, and 1 in my bedroom. Using 3 of these does cool the house down to a good temperature and buys me time to save to purchase another central A/C unit. This unit cools well, however, I have to empty the tank often. I called DeLonghi and they said the high humidity in Florida is the reason that I have to empty the tank so often. The tank spout is very low on the unit. I put a paper bowl under it to empty it. When the temperatures were in the mid 90's, the AC units did a good job cooling my home. Now that the outside temperatures are in the mid to high 80's, the AC units have no trouble keeping up. Just know that this unit is designed to cool individual rooms, not a home. If I could change anything on this unit it would be 2 things. Maybe have an water tank that is easier to empty rather then the low short spout. The other is the window kit. The exhaust hose does not stay in the unit very well. I used packing tape to help hold it. There has to be a way the exhaust hose could snap-in securely on the unit.

I was hoping this would work better than it does. There is no way this could cool 700sqft room. I couldn't even cool 450sq ft room. It was more on the quiet side than some of the others I have tried but it just can't keep the room cool. It almost seems like it pulls hot air from the exhaust tube but even it it didnt it still wouldn't cool the room .

The connection of the hose to the insert is really poor. There is no coupling to the insert and since the 5 inch hole has to be far enough away from the edge of the window to provide a full exhaust, lets just say the insert doesn't fit fight in the window. Add that to the fact that the foam they provide is not only worthless but there's a fraction of what you would need, I took this back to Sam's. Wasted some money on parts but in the long run, it was a no brainer to take it back. Return was easy, thank goodness. Made my day after a frustrating, hot afternoon.

I bought last year, June July… Used for a couple months and stored it for winter! Tried to plug it in and say pf and will not come on or work.. I've seen air conditioners work for 10+ years used. This is saddening considering I really only got to use a 300 ac for 2/3 months Sam's Cln please help

I have a 3 car tandem garage where-as long side has been closed off to create a 9'WX10'LX9'H home office. The area is well insulated but gets full sun on the outside of 2 sides most of the day. My 10K Danby of 10 years started to have a hard time cooling and after 10 years it certainly had performed much better than anticipated. My Danby was a dual hose system so that what I was looking for but just couldn't find any dual hose system locally in stock and the temperatures were going to be record setting so I needed something quickly. I ran across this 14K unit and figured for $419 it was worth a go. Well after a few days of use I've been very happy with it and the temp outside today is 102 and inside my office it's 67. BTW I the unit temp set at 72 so it's cooling about 5 degrees less than the set temp.

My central AC failed at the beginning of the warm season when the temps went into the 90's. In the crunch, we put this on the stair landing of my 2000 sqft colonial style home and with a couple of fans it helped keep the 1st and 2nd floors a tolerable 75 degrees during the day and night. After getting the central AC repaired, I now use it in a southwest facing bedroom that gets a lot of sun and is usually much warmer than the rest of the house. My only complaint is that i find it too loud to run in a bedroom while sleeping.

We had terrible heat in Texas this year. I had all 3 units stop working during JULY n August 2022. They made a horrible bang n all these plastics pieces came flying out of the exhaust. . On all three units, One at a time. None of my units thermostats were set on high because of electric costs,for me. I read that Whitners portable units have dual exhausts because the heat is tremendous inside the units. I think DeLongi should not use such flimsy plastic blades on the humidifiers and the exhaust system needs an updated version like Whitners portables. Sams sells these products also.

I purchased this unit after my 12k BTU window units compressor broke. Seemed practical as it's rated for 700sq ft and I only need it to cool 500-600. Window unit was a champ and had the room freezing if you wanted it to . This thing is so inadequate that on max fan and lowest temp it only gets the room down to 75 min. The lasko fan I purchased at the same time from sams puts this expensive trash can to shame . Will never recommend to anyone and will return ASAP.
