We purchased this unit to cool a 550sqft space in a mother in law suite in north central florida. The brick building is insulated and sits in the shade 100% of the day. This unit could not get the space below 80. Do a little research and you will discover why, but in short the unit creates a negative pressure condition which pulls the outside air in. It is constantly working against itself. I returned this unit and bought the GE window unit which is cheaper and quieter. The ge unit is fantastic. Again if you have a choice dont get a portable unit, they all suffer from the same problem. I bought both the delongi units Sam's stocks and both failed to cool the space they advertised.

Even my sweet-faced dog was annoying me for no good reason. That is, until I brought this AC home! It's been around 100 degrees for the last several days and this thing has made life pretty chill. Over time it covers a large area and had even made the interior rooms it isn't supposed to cover more bearable. I love it so far!

It was simple to put together, easy to install the window fittings and air pipe, and we had it up and running in under 30 minutes. The black unit makes it nicely disappear into our corner, while the white window fittings complement our trim. It includes a remote to change the settings from anywhere in the room. It is well insulated and quite quiet. A lovely background of brown noise, I love running it to drown out any sounds. Works quickly and efficiently, easy to set and forget, and makes our room nice and chilly - just what we want! Highly recommend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am SO happy about this portable AC! I live in south Texas, so when I say it gets hot, believe me it gets hot! It also gets really humid in the summertime, and this AC unit has been a lifesaver already. The built in dehumidifier function is amazing! The unit itself is relatively quite for how powerful it is. Installation was super easy and only took me like 5 minutes. And the fact that it has the ability to cool rooms up to 700sqft is so impressive. I love that it comes with a remote as well! The only drawback, in my opinion, is the size. It's a bit big and cumbersome, especially if you're like me and have a smaller bedroom. Other than that, this thing is AWESOME! So happy I found it :)
