Purchased a DeLonghi Portable Air Conditioner in 2017 & 2018. Alternated using each unit for just the summer and only at night in our Master bedroom. The unit we purchased in 2018 was ONLY used in 2019 & 2021 and now does not blow cold air. When the unit was not in use, it was stored in a dry closet. Called DeLonghi and they said because I did not use the unit consistently it wore out--ARE YOU KIDDING ME--THAT'S INSANE!!! DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!

I paid almost $600 for this thing. It's not worked properly period! It's colder using the dehumidifier setting than the AC setting. If I could post a picture I could, but it's now 85 where I have this at and the setting was at 64! I now have the dehumidifier on for it's actually cooling it off. I do not recommend this! So disappointed! If I could return it, believe me, it would of already been returned!

Out of the box less than 24 hours and this unit is clearly defective. Blowing, but not cold air. All controls seem to work fine. The compressor will OCCASIONALLY turn on (unit set to 70, interior temp 84, room size approx 500sq ft), but almost immediately shuts off. Exhaust hosing is cool to the touch. Clearly the fan to cool the compressor is not working (you can see that it isn't spinning) at all. So, just a glorified fan. Honestly not interested in what the warranty will cover if it is broken out of the box.

I bought this and when we got home was it showed a “PF” error code. When I looked to trouble shoot it said contact manufacturer. So I had to wait until today because they are open Monday-Friday. The person I talked to asked me what our humidity level is and stated if humidity is under 25% it doesn't work. They have had a lot of complaints. So now I have to lug this back to Sam's club to get my money back!

Not a model that comes with a cover or bag to store accessories. The bad thing is that the plastics extenders are not nearly long enough for a window that opens up side to side versus up and down. No way you can use it in a sliding glass door. Had to improvise. Company also doesn't sell online additional panels that you could buy. Seems well built and hope for good longevity. Came well packed.

One of the wheels was broke and it was very loud. Worse when compressor was on. Guessing that it must have been dropped during shipment or defective from the beginning. Had to return it and bought the smaller unit. The smaller one works great. Is quiet enough.

I purchased this from Sam's and I need a second window kit, with hardware for a side by side window. Over a week of emails, chatting, phone calls Delonghi and Encompass and NO ONE UNDERSTANDS that the window kit has a wing nut and bolt that's needed to secure the window planks. The wing nut I can substitute but the bolt is totally unique. Not sold at any hardware store around. So, unless some company reviewer reads this and responds I'm going to package up the whole thing and return it.

I received my air conditioner in good shape although it took about a week to get it from Texas. The venting is made for a window, I modified mine to be a wall vent although the vent is 6 inches. You can get a 6" to 4" reducer and vent with a 4 " dryer vent. I found the reducer and connectors at Lowes.

This works great up to around 90 degrees outside. However, once it gets HOT out, it runs very inefficiently. The exhaust tube gets hot enough to burn you. I had to spend the money and time to wrap the tubing with duct insulation after coming home to 103 degrees INSIDE. I've had to TAPE the connections to keep them from simply falling off and venting the heat directly back into the room. The exhaust tube is only 5 feel long and a non-standard size to extend it - 5.9" not 5" and not 6". If you're windows are not vertical sliding closure, you WILL have to figure out how to mount the exhaust in your window yourself...hope to don't have older windows like manual swing in or hand crank windows. I do recommend this unit, but be prepared to do some home engineering, or even Jerry rigging.
