exhaust hose way to short Delonghi said no fix can`t help me POOR SERVICE called Delonghi they said a lot of people have called and complained about how short it is Delonghi recommend other brands with longer hose will never buy a Delonghi Product PERIOD !!!!

Our central air went out leaving our house at an average 84-88 degrees inside. Our living room is probably 1400sq ft this unit is rated for 700sq ft room. Got it home set up was easy maybe 15 minutes to get the vent to fit securely in the window. This unit drops the temperature 4-5 degrees and decreases the humidity to life being bearable. it runs pretty much full time will be interesting to see my electric bill. Overall I'd buy it again

Very efficient

This unit does cool down a small room, but is very loud and inefficient. This will not cool down a 700 square foot space well. Using a window unit with only 8000 BTU will do a better job. If you need to purchase a portable air conditioner, look for one with dual hoses. It is more efficient with it's power usage and will cool down a larger room quicker with lower BTU.

You really can't beat the deal. I bought one to cool the master bedroom in this crazy Texas heat wave. My husband struggles to sleep in any temperature above 70°… he is loving this Pinguino AC. It's actually cold in here. He has told me he's had the best sleep since I installed this unit. The only comment I have is I wish I could dim the control panel lights, but my husband told me if I just close my eyes and go to sleep I wouldn't have to worry about that. lol He would give the unit 10 stars if he could. For the price, I don't think you can get a better unit.

Central ac system died in my rented 2400 sq.ft house in San Antonio TX. Picked up this unit, hooked up exhaust vent to nearby window and it's keeping my entire downstairs floor at 73-75 with 90 degree heat outside. This unit is a welcome relief while I save up to get my outside compressor replaced

I recently purchased and I was not happy with method of delivery. I reside on the first floor and the AC was left on my front porch the driver failed to even attempt to place in the building hall way. The box is clearly marker stating what it is. This was very very heavy. When I read the reviews it said it could cool what would be a two car garage. This was not the case. I had a difficult time assembling.

It's been just over twelve hours and now the compressor is cycling on/off about every five minutes. It never got close to cooling the room on a eighty degree day. I like the look, but for the price, this unit is no good. I should have listened to the recent negative comments. I will be wasting my time/gas and returning this unit; I will probably buy (from Menards) a window unit instead.

This is the first portable air conditioner I've purchased. I've always been a window unit guy but we needed something for a pretty large space where the only windows were largely covered by a sofa - we needed something more flexible. I was torn between DeLonghi and Whilpool, but the sleek look of DeLonghi just caught my eye more. Setup was pretty easy. Only complaints were that screwing the hose fittings onto the flexible hose was a bit annoying (reverse threaded) and when locking the window vent into place, the little plastic locking mechanism didn't want to stay in place very well. All-in-all, it probably took me about 25 minutes to unpackage, sort parts, hook things up and have it turned on. I was expecting it to be louder than it is....it's pretty quiet and seems to be plenty powerful. We'll see if it can keep up with keeping things cool for us!

I just purchased this unit and am very disappointed with the inadequate window kit that does not fit properly in any standard sized window in my house. The window kit is so flimsy and leaves gaps on the top and bottom. The plastic the it is made of is no better quality that a DVD case. Compared to to unit I was shocked that the company would include such an inferior window kit with it. I recommend the unit but I'm going to have to figure out something better for the window.
