Sam's Club should be embarrassed to sell such a piece of junk!! It is terribly designed, poorly made and downright dangerous because it is SO FLIMSY!! The metal pieces are so thin and flimsy that you could easily bend one with your hands, even by accident just trying to assemble this piece of junk. The incredibly thin and flimsy shelves were already warped out of the box! They're less than 1/2" of cheap particle board with such poor plastic lamination on them that the lamination was breaking off in places just trying to put the shelves in the frames. NOTE that the four corner pieces are in two sections, not one long piece. The connection is very poor and unsecure. I didn't even finish putting this together before I took it apart to put in the box to return. The whole assembly is so poorly made and flimsy that unless this unit is attached to a wall, the whole thing could topple over easily, injuring someone if any heavy items are placed on the top .

I bought one of these shelves a few years ago for my son. He really liked it and asked if I could find him an other one. Well it took several months before you had them in stock but I saw that you did have them so I ordered one for my son again. He builds models and the shelves are perfect to put them on.

I'm super happy with this shelf system. I put it together myself and it took me about 1.5 hours to complete everything (opening box to installing rubber caps). I'm typically slow at everything and may take you less time if you have help or are just a quick person. I do recommend placing the rubber feet after you put the lower portion together. Looks great and I used a cloth shower curtain and shower hooks to conceal contents within my shelves. Will definitely buy another set of shelves. And, I did ask for help loading it on my truck since I'm female and box makes reference to 2 people lifting the box. When I got home, I backed in my garage and wobbled it out, laying back flat on the ground.

I am absolutely satisfied with the storage rack that I ordered and received. I am waiting to purchase another one as I realize I need another one but they have been out of stock for shipping. I live 150 miles away from a Sam's Club. This is why I order merchandise.

Requires two people to assemble. You assemble the bottom half and the top half separately. Then you lift the top half and set it on top of the bottom half. The top is supposed to be held in place by the middle shelf supports, but it will not stay put for you to get the shelf support latched in to hold the top in place. Not to mention that the shelf supports just kind of sit in the holes and don't latch down like they should. The metal is flimsy and thin. The shelves themselves are laminated particle board and they had all kinds of cracks through them and are bowed. The 24 inch deep Member's Mark shelf I got last week is really well built: thicker metal, better quality shelves, and a better design. This one is a completely different story.

I am surprised at some of the negative reviews that dated back several years. This merchandise just recently started to appear at select locations at Sam's Clubs in southern California. I have purchased 9 of these in the past 2 months, several of which I drove 40 minutes to pick up from another Sam's Club. These are my top reasons: 1. they are precisely engineered and made. The more bulky, 6-ft comparable shelf that's been available at Sam's for years, they occasionally had small quality control issues. In comparison, this new 6-shelf, 7-ft shelf are precise and consistent. 2. sturdy and stable, and it's 7-ft and 6 tiers. I must admit, this shelf uses a newer kind of shelf that's lighter and thinner, but they are held in place precisely and snuggly cradled by the metal racks. That means the lateral movement is drastically reduced because of the tight but easily-fit gap that's available. Being 7-ft, I am comfortable putting heavy items on the top shelf, and not see the shelf move much when trying to sway. Most of us are not looking to put heavy items on shelves this size (each shelf holds up to 600 lbs!). Instead, we want more vertical space and more shelf space so that it won't take up much floor foot-print. 3. easy assembly and not as heavy. I think the material used for this shelf is newer generation, more sturdy and less weight. the older shelf we have used has heavier shelf boards, often requiring 2 people to fit them. This shelf is lighter, albeit sturdy just like the other. I lined up 4 of these shelves and put them up in 25 minutes total, having one other staff assist me. Again, amazed at how consistently they are manufactured. No surprises. 4. the price point is excellent. Most of us want the best price / surface area ratio. This shelf is priced at $60 for 6 shelves. That's great. 5. packaging is much better. the box is half the thickness of the old shelf that Sam's Club has carried. The old shelf is great, and has more load capacity, but the trad off is that it comes more bulky, harder to transport. I highly recommend this product. Please note that some of the older reviews do not pertain to this product, because it is not carried by Sam's Club until fairly recently in 2021. You might not find it at your local Sam's Club, but they seem to be stocking more regularly now. They go fairly fast whenever they are on the floor. I am glad that Sam's Club is starting to let people order and ship this item. Thank you.

I had purchased a couple of the 24" deep by 72" tall shelves rated for more weight and felt good when I put them together using same steps. This lighter duty unit 18" deep and 84" tall...I wish I would've bought the other one again. Anything that felt like it locked into place would easily jump back out as I continued to assemble. The bracket that is supposed to lock top section and bottom section together does not happen with confidence. Any additional downward pressures applied to top portion would cause the joint area to slip down and come apart. In the end, I had plenty of sheet metal screws on hand. So I would slip a bracket down into place and run a screw in where it could not slip back up. This is the only way I would trust it enough to load the shelves.

Horribly thin steel, no instructions included and a sketchy (at best) connection between the upper and lower leg section. I built the bottom section only, all cross members tapped with a rubber mallet to get them into place and the shelf is leaning horribly with only the remain pieces for the upper portion. Complete dumpster fire that I paid good money for

I have been buying these shelves at Sams for over 10 years, and have recommended them to many people. Sam's suppliers have used thinner and thinner gauge steel over the years but the shelves have remained a good value nevertheless. I bought 3 units on May 27, 2018 and found that the metal on the legs is so thin that the rivet heads on the cross-members no longer grip the legs. They are so floppy and flimsy that even with a helper I found that I could not erect them and had to return them to my local Sam's club. They have been value engineered to the point that they cannot be assembled, unless you want to weld the connections. Reading reviews, some may be delivered with an acceptable tolerance on the locking buttons. You will not know this until shelf is unpacked and assembly begins. I can no longer recommend these shelves as I have to many people in the past. Play it safe and buy a different brand.

I brought this item but it came with parts missing ( 3 short Beam) I contacted sams club and TSY service but no luck. Tsy service who makes and ship this rack told me to pay extra $15 shipping cost. sams club agents were no help . They just said they have to create ticket and Not sure when I can get refund or replacement
