Spacious, sleek and modern
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The design is sleek and made an instant positive impact on the look of the kitchen. The capacity was spacious. There is ample room to keep food neatly organized. It holds plenty food for a family with kids. Some of the features I like most are the door alarm, fingerprint resistant doors, temperature display and uniform cooling. I love that I can easily see through the storage bins. The squarish shaped ice cubes are unique. The refrigerator offers the flexibility of cubed or crushed ice. The icemaker keeps up with our demand. The ice bin is easy to empty. No more worries about food safety due to the doors being left opened with the alarm. The door bins are generous. A very convenient feature is the sliding shelves, makes it easier to clean and reach items in back. The interior light is just right, not too bright especially when opening the door in the dark. The recessed door handle eliminates a bulky handle sticking out and creates a clean line. I've gotten so many compliments on the refrigerator. I love it, it's like a work of art.
Another dud from Samsung.
This was purchased as a replacement for our RF28HFEDBSR/AA which had it's ice maker break out of warranty and Samsung wanted us to fix it on our dime, that fridge is now under a class action suit and Samsung are replacing them because of the bad ice maker design. Well this differently designed ice maker comes with a very similar issue, it is also unusable just out of warranty and again it's on us to take on the burden of repair, yet unfortunately this one isn't under the lawsuit so I am left appealing to Samsung to do the right thing and get us a working fridge. They stopped even putting in door ice dispensers in new models because the airflow causes issues with them yet I have to pay for a repair which clearly won't solve a design issue.

NOT all around cooling
i've had this refrigerator for less than a year and am on my 2nd service call for the same issue- the refrigerator is freezing my food with the temperature set to 37 deg f. the 1st time, the technician could not locate a problem with the diagnostic tools, so he just replaced the computer. he also suggested i get a surge protector for the fridge in case a power surge may have caused the issue. i did. it worked for a couple of months, and now the same thing is happening again. after reading reviews, this is an ongoing issue for multiple customers and samsung is not fixing the issue. i called the customer service line and found that the warranty is a repair warranty only.
I understand your concern and we're happy you took the time to share your experience with us. I see we are still working on fixing your fridge with our service repair. The warranty covers more than service, but we would have to go through all of our technician's options before we look into other accommodations. If you have any questions about the process, please feel free to contact us using the information below. ^Pat 1. Facebook Messenger: http://m.me/samsungsupport 2. Decent but ice maker sucks
my boyfriend and i moved into our home last november. the sellers had left their appliances for us. one being this fridge. all in all, this is a pretty good fridge. the ice maker is awful. it creates quite a bit of ice but then there seems to be something causing it to melt and become one big chuck, therefore, not allowing ice to come down into your cup. we've checked the seal by doing the "pour water down the ice chute to make sure there are no leaks. none. not one drop. also, the fridge may be fingerprint resistant, but don't put anything on the front of it. we had several different types of magnets on in and if they move "at all" you get tiny scratches all over it. now the front of our fridge is all scratched up.
Hello KPoe, Thank you for reaching out. We appreciate you letting us know that all the ice in the ice maker of your Samsung refrigerator melts and becomes one big chuck causing the ice not to come down into the cup. Great product with one glaring exception
we bought this refrigerator to replace an old (19 years) whirlpool, and we're very happy with this unit with one *huge* exception: there is no light in the dispenser bay. so, when you walk in the kitchen at night to get ice or water, you have to turn on the kitchen lights to see what the refrigerator is doing. <facepalm> the interior has awesome led lighting, and why they didn't think to add this to the dispenser is beyond me. also, the need to turn the water off before replacing the filter is annoying, and i miss having a tray for cheese and butter and deli meat. however, those i can live with. if the refrigerator had lighting in the dispenser well, i would happily give it five stars.
Another broken Samsung icemaker.
this fridge replaced one that died, the was also samsung and years before the whole thing died the ice maker died, we were buying bags of ice for years. it was a relief to finally have a working ice maker again, until after only a year or so this icemaker started to suffer similar problems. we specifically got a side by side with the ice maker in the door so as not to have the same ice maker as the previous one, but the new one started to leak into the chute and we had to chip away ice constantly, it was overfilling the ice cube tray until it leaked, with no way to fix it. it kept leaking until the chute is a solid ice block. we can't defrost it and start over because we would lose our entire freezer contents. i can't advise everyone enough to not buy any samsung fridge with an ice maker.
Hi CartmanUK42, Thank you for your review. Our sincere apologies that the ice maker made too much ice, which leaked and blocked the chute. I understand how essential it is to have a fully functional ice maker. Good Overall Refrigerator
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really like this fridge. It looks really good and has a lot of room. The two main issues I have with it are that there are no movable shelves in the fridge side and there is no small drawer for lunch meats and cheeses. I like those features but can live without them. All tall items like wine bottles need to be stored in the door.
Love the all around cooling!
I have had this refrigerator for 3 weeks now and it works great no complaints except for the water/ice dispenser does not have a light. When you get water, it is hard to tell when the glass is getting full. And you really can't see at night if you just want to get water and not have to turn on the kitchen light. I know this seems silly to complain about but sometimes it's the little things that you will miss.
Nice bottom line upgrade, but needs major work
it’s an upgrade for us, but still lacking for the price. i feel like this about be about $150 less. pros - no handles sticking out lots of room nice shelving depth stainless is pretty nice no filter can be seen cons - needs way more light in both the freezer and fridge in a 4100k color temp to light the bottom half. why is there no design for light in the back bottom half? the ice maker is absolute garbage. it barely makes enough ice in a day to appreciate that its even making it, lol. the design is medciocre and the hook takes quite awhile to grab ice. you’ll get half a chunk of ice vs. crushed. no drip tray design. overall, yes, a nice upgrade, but i feel like the price should be quite a bit less based on those 2 things. lighting and ice maker.
Interior Space...to the Max!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Samsung RS27T5200SR/AA side-by-side refrigerator is a no-frills fridge that maximizes space efficiency. If you don’t need a Family Hub screen nor a double capacity ice maker, this is the fridge for you. It may not look big from the outside, but the number of bins and shelves on the inside is amazing. Each shelf offers both depth and height to allow for maximum flexibility for odd-shaped items. This allows you to really pack in your stuff. The door bins hold multiple and various shaped bottles, meaning you can really stock up on items at the grocery store. And the same holds for both the refrigerator and the freezer side. Most surprisingly, the motor is quiet and powerful. Cooling down the entire fridge in under an hour from the first power-up. If you’re looking for a basic side-by-side fridge that looks good, performs well, and is designed to maximize interior space, the Samsung RS27T5200SR/AA is the right fridge for you!
