Beautiful and roomy but no water dispenser light
i really fell in love with the look of this fridge. clean sleek and handle free. inside is roomy and everything is visible. shelves are stationary but no need to move them. the only thing they totally missed is putting a light in the water/ice maker. black fridge hard to see water level in the glass without a light. i really miss having a light. tech specs even say “dispenser light-yes”. nope! no light!
Ice Maker is horrendous
ice maker is horrible. it makes very little ice. its so bad i finally bought a separate ice maker. i miss having a light by the controls for the water and ice as you can not see the buttons in the evening. there is not enough light in side the fridge itself. one thing i missed prior to purchasing is there is no cold cut drawer on the higher levels.

Great Purchase
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This has been a great purchase. Lots of room to store for a large family. Great styling and always looks clean because it’s fingerprint resistant. Only minus is that the icemaker doesn’t make ice fast enough.
Not so good. Remember latest doesn't mean the Best
Not so good. Remember latest does not mean the Best..... While I like Samsung as a brand, I think buying this refrigerator was not the best decision. I liked the slick exterior design and simple shelf arrangement. But Samsung disregarded several basic features. So many people have mentioned the poor lighting. It is definitely an issue…it is definitely an issue. If the refrigerator is empty (90 to 100%), then you won’t notice the poor lighting. But once shelves are filled 40 to 50%, you won’t see the stuff on the shelf. Poor lighting design and cost cutting measure by Samsung. I am thinking to buy a separate LED light and install it myself. How and When? I don’t know. It is on my list. 2nd annoying thing is dripping water from outlet. This is definitely a flaw in this refrigerator. After you take out the water, there is at least one or two drops of water in the tray. I keep a paper towel in the tray every day to soak the water. 3rd annoying thing- Ice outlet is just too big. It gives you ice everywhere (including on the kitchen floor) except the cup. It just throws ice cubes or pieces everywhere. Every time you have to clean up the floor when you take ice out. My expectations are basic. Aren’t they? Am I asking too much?

Good owners Manual
i like the non protruding door handles. they give a clean line appearance. comes with a thin protective film around the front which i found difficult to remove. in my experience this film is firmly attached under the door gasket and tears away leaving behind fragments. the manual gives clear instructions. for example, to change the water filter you will first turn off your water supply valve. after a simple twist and pull of the old filter you insert the new filter and twist. the manual then suggests a 7 minute water line purge. i like the special setting to have 3 days of accelerated cooling. my experience is that all food has remained chilled or frozen.
Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. It's always a pleasure to see the Pros and the Cons our customers leave in their review. Thank you for being a Samsung customer. ^Pat
Ok but this unit has a design flaw
while we receive this refrigerate on time as listed after using it for two week i have two feedback. #1 - no butter tray compartment. no big deal but we use one for 20 years and now we miss that feature #2 the biggest issue is the water dispenser is not center or close to the lever. so you almost always need two hands to dispense water. should be position further back so you press the level while holding the cup/glass bottle with one hand.

So ROOMY!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Had my new fridge delivered 4 days ago & we are already in love. It is sleek & fingerprint resistant. It is HUGE & holds so much more than my previous fridge. It makes ice quickly and the bin was full in a few hours. The shelves a deep & wipe clean easily. I would have liked some door handles but we are getting used to the hidden ones. I love that I can keep my gallon of milk in the door shelves. It also runs very quietly. We were unsure if was even on at first because its so quiet. Overall, highly recommend.
Good fridge/freezer, terrible ice/water dispenser
it cools fine, has good storage space. very energy efficient. love having recessed door handles. but the ice and water dispenser is the pits. it takes forever to dispense a glass of ice. there is about a three second delay before the first ice cube comes out. it takes about 15 seconds to fill a tervis cup with ice, and another 15 seconds to finish filling with water. many times, after you let off the ice dispenser lever, it spits out one to three more ice cubes. but the biggest complaint is that there is no light on the dispenser area. even with the kitchen light on, it's very hard to see how much ice or water is in the glass. never again will i buy a fridge with no lighted dispensing area.

Disappointing quality. Another unhappy owner
We have had this refrigerator-freezer for a year and a half and the freezer is quitting on us. Like others here, we have many other Samsung electronics and rave about them. We expected similar quality from their appliances and this item is a dud. Right now the freezer only maintains 20deg (F) - frige is OK for now, so, we are moving everything to another freezer (older, different brand - works great). I have other refrigeration and freezing appliances that are 20 and 30-years old that never gave us a problem. Given current technologies, why can't Samsung build and sell something with similar quality?
Greetings! It's disappointing when something doesn't meet your expectations, especially when older appliances have proven more reliable over time. We are here to assist you. Excellect Fridge
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was a little nervous when this fridge got delivered because it was too large to fit through the doorway and I was worried I wouldn't be able to get it into the kitchen. Fortunately, the doors came off (and go back on) very easily. I knew it was going to be larger than my last one, but it still fits well in my small kitchen and gives it an updated look. I am really impressed with how much extra space it has, especially in the freezer. It doesn't look that big at first, but it's deeper than a standard fridge and is designed to seem wider without actually being wider. I don't know how they do it! I was worried with the side by side that I wouldn't be able to lay large flat items down in the freezer, for instance frozen pizzas, but they actually fit! The racks on the doors slide off easily for easy clean if there's a spill. I especially love the temperature panel on the side of the fridge door. It's easy to read and easy to make adjustments. It also has a quick cool function so it got to the right temperature extremely fast - within a couple of hours instead of the normal "up to 24 hour" time frame. The air doesn't feel like a blast of cold on either side and everything stays at the right temperature. I even turned the freezer temp up a few degrees because it's so efficient, I don't need to keep it as cold as a standard freezer. I also love having the water and ice function. The water tastes much better than from the tap filter, and the ice stops once the bin is full, unlike my last ice maker... Overall, a great fridge and I so happy to have it. My last fridge was definitely at the end of its life. I can tell this is going to be much more energy efficient just by the way it operates.
