Customer reviews for Lifetime Adventure Tower Swing Set Playset forGreat Playset
I bought this to replace a wooden playset that got destroyed in the hail storms. This thing is solid and sturdy. The plastic doesn't get as hot as you would think in the sun but the metal poles get very hot. The only issue was the install. I decided to pick this up in store and put it together myself. Make sure you have 2 or 3 people. There are some parts that are long, heavy, or cumbersome. A few extra sets of hands comes in handy. Make sure you read the instructions before you start each stage and follow them, it will help. The use of the button fasteners and long bolts make it where there aren't any sharp ends where kids can get cut but it makes for a longer assembly time. I say buy it and put it together yourself if you have 8 hours to spare.
Awesome Playset, Kids love it
There are lots of pieces when you open the boxes and the 100 page manual will scare you but, I have to say it was very easy to put together. I did most of it myself and when I needed an extra hand my wife helped. It took us a day to assemble. The quality is great and when completed looks very good. The instructions are easy to read and follow but, they don't come with the playset, you have to download and print them from the manufacturers website, unless mine just didn't have it. For the price, I highly recommend this playset. Don't hire someone to do it for you, its easy and great to spend time with the family building it. I could have paid someone to do it but, my wife and I enjoyed the fact that we built something this awesome for the kids.
I'm so glad you are enjoying your play set! We have lots of help available for assembly if needed via live chat, our customer service line, or on YouTube. I love that you made the assembly a fun family project. If you run into any issues please feel free to call us, we would love to help. 800-225-3865.
Outstanding Quality!
The quality of this product is outstanding and our girls 2-8 love it. The clubhouse is a great size for multiple kids to interact on the top and bottom at the same time. This set is going to look brand new for years to come - unlike the wood sets that way too many people buy!
Son loves it. Couldn't ask for better quality.
When the crate was delivered I was a little set back on how many pieces. However, the directions were easy to follow and with the help of my girlfriend we were able to put the set together over the weekend. When son came around the corner of the house to the back yard he made a bee line to the swings and had a grand time. We are very happy with the set and to see such a smile on our son is well worth the weekend work of putting it together.
Great playset
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great playset that we will likely enjoy for a long time. The installation process was long and tedious. I recommend watching the videos even if the written directions seem straightforward. We found that there is information in the videos that is not in the written directions. (such as where the swing bar is located in relation to the other parts while building the tower). There were also 2-3 places where the written directions had mistakes and called for the wrong hardware and caused some frustration, but we were able to figure it out with some logic and the help of the video. My only dislike of this playset is the ladder. The arch and distance between rungs is not safe for younger children. The top of the ladder is especially hazardous as the child is stepping from the ladder to the tower. The gap between the top rung of the ladder and the tower is very large. A child could easily fall right through it if they slipped or misjudged the distance. I realize every activity has inherent risk, but they could easily make the rungs closer together, re-engineer the ladder to be steps, or a variety of other safer options. I'd love to see Lifetime offer an aftermarket addition to the ladder to improve the safety. In general, this ladder is not up to par on quality compared to typical Lifetime products.
Grandkids love it!
We almost bought the Climb and Slide Playset but decided on the Lifetime Adventure Tower instead because it has more activities. We bought this just in time to assemble it before the cool weather arrived. My wife and I worked together as a team for about six evenings. Our son-in-law helped put the roof on. Halfway through the process we had the part numbers memorized. The instructions were clear and precise. I was pleasantly surprised to see a separate package of spare parts. Yes indeed! The grandkids love it, therefore, so do we! Note: We added the baby swing that's on the end. It does not come with the unit.
Solid High Quality Product
We bought this for our two children and after reading up on different review we decided on this one. All the parts were there, the instructions were easy to read, and it came just when they said it would on a single massive pallet. It took us a total 3 days to get it together but that was with our normal morning preschool running around and early bed times. It was fun! No fighting or throwing tools, just make sure you read the instructions and do it exactly as it tells you to. There is a reason behind the sequence given in the instructions. It looks great, its solid... the only problem is... my 2 year old also has a problem getting onto the upper deck do to the gap because he's not quite there yet with gripping the outer rail instead of the rungs. We fixed this with some plastic mesh and zip ties but he'll grow into it. I can see my children using this product for a very long time and it was worth the price and the work setting it up. It is way more sturdy than the wooden set we sold with our last house.
Absolutely love this Playset!!
I bought this playset for my two grand-children. I researched online for days and decided on this playset! It is very sturdy, provides many activities, and my grand-children love it! The instructions are very detailed and easy to follow. My son and my two son-in-laws put it together in 5 hours. One was in charge of reading instructions while the other two constructed it. They used power tools which made it go a lot faster. The only problem they had was with the floor of the tower. My son had to drill out the holes a little and it was quite difficult to get the bolts through to hold the floor down. Other than that, pretty much smooth sailing! Recommended over a wooden play set which I previously owned before moving. Much sturdier!!!

Lifetime Tower play set
I bought this for my church....It took 5 men......... 13 hours to put this together and the worst part there were no instructions....after all was said and done my pastor downloaded the instructions to his phone and there were 96 pages of instructions. You should tell the person who buys this item there are no instructions....
I'm so sorry your instructions were missing! All our playgrounds should have instructions included. If you need any help please don't hesitate to call us at +1 800-225-3865. We can ship missing parts, including instructions, at no cost to you. Downloading is definitely much faster way to get them though. I'm glad you were able to find them online. You will have to update us now that it is together. How are the kids enjoying it?
Great quality and withstands Windstorms
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have had this playset in our backyard for about 6 months now. My kids love playing on this. It will be nice when my littlest daughter will be able to climb the ladder more skillfully (she is 18 months.) My only complaint so far is that it's not incredibly little kid friendly. Next summer will be a lot better for her to be climbing the ladder and rock wall. The materials seem like they will last for ever. The area we live in can get very windy. We have had a couple really bad windstorms and it didn't even budge which is awesome! A lot of trampolines will fly down the neighborhood causing damage, which is one of the reasons we decided to forgo a trampoline and purchase a swing set.
