Do not recommend

I bought this air conditioner Last Summer and it worked absolutely wonderful I loved it. I put it back in my window this summer to use it again and it's not working!!! The only thing that works is the fan. The AC unit will kick in and run for about 10 minutes and then kick right back off.

Why is there daylight coming through the opening of this A/C Unit. Does this mean that hot air, insects, dust, pollen, and any other airborne allergens are allowed to flow in freely from the outside? And why is there no vent on this unit? Is it not needed? Tried to attach a photo but the system wouldnt let me. ( It figures).

The vent opening at the front of the unit is constructed in such a way that it prevents insects, pollens, and hot air from being pulled in from the outside.
