Noisy

Window AC uses a “dripless” system by using the condenser fan to splash water out of the drip pan. It definitely doesn’t drip unless you have humidity over 80% but its incredibly noisy. The water pinging noise is incredible obnoxious and you have to trade cool air for your sanity. It’s completely unreasonable and should have a warning on the box saying “will cause deafness”. Contacted Mideas and they say its normal and honestly don’t care. If you already bought this and want a solution, carefully drill a hole in the pan to allow the water to drop naturally. Resolves the issue.

Unit arrived dented, and is so loud we can barely stand to run it. We would return it but my husband threw the box away.
