First purchase of General tires and I'm very pleased.  Bought set of 4 for my wife's Ford Taurus Limited AWD.  Tires have a great ride, excellent dry and wet traction.  Price was determining factor but these tires are competitive with tires costing much more.

I bought these tires last fall before any snow flew. I needed good tires due to my heavy long travels. The first time I drove in slick weather, I was impressed with the grip of these tires. I purposely tried to slip, but I had a difficult time doing it. Over the winter I had to travel 3 hours in wintry conditions. Cars were sliding off the road and it was very scary. I had my car in 4 wheel and the tires did not let me down, up steep icy hills even that other 4x4 could not get up. I would highly recommend these tires!

If you are looking for a reasonably priced tire that hits on all points the Altimax  RT43 is the tire for you.  It's a smooth, quiet tire with excellent grip on wet roads and light to medium snow.  This is the second vehicle I have put these tires on.  They wear very well.

Before I changed from my OE tire on my 2015 Toyota Yaris I read as much as I could. Reviews, tests, comparisons etc. I decided on the RT43 and I could not be more pleased. The difference in ride comfort, noise level, steering, braking and wet weather performance is astonishing. This is THE BEST touring tire for the money available. I'd pit this tire against some ""premium"" touring tires that cost more. General you hit a grand slam. Keep it up.

I have have had no issues with these tires since my purchase in 2020. I usually drive close to 20K miles per year, but the pandemic put a halt to that! So I don't have the long term highway experience I was expecting to have. But they are much quieter than my previous run flat tires and the tread is great in the rain. No real snow experience yet.

Bought tire for our 05 Civic couple years back we were pleased with performance. Mother in law 09 Lacrosse needed tires , checked Tire Racks reviews and found the same tire was ranked as very good for her car. My wife who drives both cars says there is great control and road feel especially on highway. These have been our first experience with General Tire brand.

Bought tires 7mos ago, 5000mi, it's a truly all season capable tire providing great traction in wet conditions, and good traction in snow.  I noticed an improvement on snow/ice over the previous version of the Altimax which we we were also happy with especially due to  traction in wet conditions.

I am extremely pleased with the looks and performance of these tires.  I have a 1990 mustang 5.0.  The tires provide the handling and traction I expect for this vehicle.  They are sticky enough to lay the power down as well.  I like them so much I plan to purchase a set for my suv next.  I'm a satisfied customer

I commute 64 miles a day for work and live in northwest PA, experiencing treacherous winters.  The General Altimax Rt43 have been the best tires I've ever owned.(I'm on set #2)  I use them year round on a 2008 Ford Fusion!  I am most impressed with their winter capabilities.  I drive in heavy snow and ice conditions at times and never have to wonder if I'm going to make it.  If you adjust your driving to the conditions, these tires will not disappoint.  The other great feature is the water displacement.   The roads I travel have ruts which collect water when it rains.  They have very good resitence to hydroplaning.  While I didn't get anywhere near the mileage of the warranty, they lasted me 2 years and wore evenly.   This is quite a feat if you've ever driven on Pennsylvania roads  I would highly recommend these tires if you appreciate getting from point a to b safely!

I purchased my first AltiMax tire for my Tacoma truck several years ago. When it was time to replace the tires on my CR-V General tire was my first choice. This is a good all season tires that has good tread life, performs in the rain and sweltering heat.
