Fantastic

I recently put the Altimax all-seasons on my 2005 Accord and am loving them. I've had the same tires on my 2000 Camry and was glad I went with them again. During Wisconsin's biggest snow storm in decades my Accord's tires really impressed me. The rain and snow performance is better than the equivalent Michelin and almost as smooth/quiet on dry pavement. The biggest advantage of the General Altimax over the equivalent Michelin is the value.  It's as good of a tire for much less. My parents also use the Altimax on their 2008 Odyssey and have had very good luck with multiple sets. The weight of a minivan wears any passenger tire relatively quickly, so the value of Altimax really comes into play. They previously ran Michelin's which were a little smoother/quieter in the dry but not worth the price difference. The Altimax lasts a little longer and performs in weather just as well. I highly recommend the General Altimax. Give them a try. You won't be disappointed.

A Good All Around Tire !

I have two sets of these General Altimax Rt 43 tires.  Both are on 87 Chevrolet El Caminos. One set is 14 inch on stock wheels, the other is 15 inch on 8"" rally wheels. They are quiet, ride, drive and handle well. They're good in rain, don't know about snow !  Don't know yet about the tread wear or mileage will be. At this point I'm very well satisfied with them ! .. Thanks, Bear

Great in snow

I was looking for an all season tire to run fall to spring on my 2001 Honda Civic.  Living in MN means it has to be good in snow and this tire delivers.  It does very well in snow.  Its a little on the noisy side but who cares with grip like this.  And it is inexpensive too.

Excellent tire!

After reading TONS of reviews of tires for my car, I decided on the General Altimax RT 43 for several reasons:  1: I exclusively used General Tires on my truck, and their tread life was exceptional (up to 80k miles with rotation every 5k miles) 2: Tires are the only part of your car that touches the road. It is worth it to spend a little more for quality tires than get the cheapest you can find. 3: Since we get snow in the northeast, I wanted something with good snow traction without having to get full-blown winter tires.  The General Altimax RT 43's completely fit the bill. They are quiet, responsive, have excellent dry and wet grip, and have unique features to help me monitor their tread life and alignment.

Great on 2010 Hyundai Elantra

Very happy change from the Kumhos that we blindly replaced last time we were due for tires... much better grip and noise level, especially in rain!  Once I saw their performance in the rain, I put them on our 2007 Outlander as well.  ***09 Vibe person who commented*** I would get your alignment checked (probably not by the place that did your tires), something must be very wrong with it based on your description of it being on ice.

My ""Go To"" tire is the Alitimax RT43

I work in the automotive field and recommend tires for specific applications to clients on a daily basis. The Altimax RT43 has become a very common and practical choice for many drivers, myself included. No other tire in it's price range comes close to delivering the reliable performance and longevity of the Altimax RT43. I even installed a set on my college-bound daughter's car. I guess you could say that the Altimax RT43 also delivers a secure state of mind too!

205/60 R16 92V

I bought these tires for Mazda3 2015. From a day I put them on, I have done 6k.plus miles and I cannot say anything else than they give a great traction and handling on dry & wet surface. No aquaplaning at all! As of now I can recommend them for every day use. I'm looking forward to see how they will handle a winter in North NJ

General (no pun intended) All Around Good Tire

The General Tire AltiMAX RT43 have been a marked improvement over the OEM tires (Hankook) that I received for my 2016 Hyundai Azera.  Overall, the ride qualify improved (less road noise, smoother ride over most surfaces), improved traction on wet roadways, and the handling I'd say is a step or two above the Hakooks.  One area that I haven't had a chance to test yet is traction in snowy/ice.  I live in North Carolina and the winters here are mild at best (with a few days or randmom weeks of 'true winter') so I can't attest to the snow/ice capability for these tires.  This is my second time owning a set of General Tire and I have to say that I am quite pleased with the brand as a whole and would not hesitate to recommend General Tire to anyone looking for a good all around tire for their vehicle.

Second Set

First set performed so well, purchased second set.  Best all-season tire I have ever owned.  Good mileage - 55,000 miles on first set but could have gone more miles.  Winter (snow) was coming and first time driver was getting this car so replaced with a new set.  Great traction in snow/ice for an all-season tire.
