I have researched many year supply kits out there, and compared nutritional value. This has any other kit beat, hands down. I just received my kit last week, and went through to inventory all the cans. Everything was right on the mark. I did have 2-3 badly dented cans, but just called up Augason Farms and they are sending out replacements today. Because of recent events, more and more people are buying these kits. I was able to receive my order in about 3 weeks, which is much faster than some other companies providing 1 year food kits. If you have researched it, Mountain House is no longer available... and the nutritional value of Aguason Farms beats them entirely! Be smart and add Beans, Lentils, Rolled Oats, Brown Rice, and Hard Red Wheat to this supply and you will literally have enough food for 2 years! My picture includes the year supply with the addition of 2 boxes of Brown Rice, 2 boxes of Hard Red Wheat, and 1 box of Fruit. Augason Farms is the ONLY emergency food company that offers Brown Rice, buy some! Other reviews say some cans are partially filled... this is because the cans are based on serving sizes. Realize that you are not getting shorted at all. Yes, some cans weigh more than others... but that is like trying to compare the weight of gold to aluminum. Some foods just weigh more than others. Overall, this is a fabulous purchase! I recommend this product to everyone who wants to be smart in our current way of life. I am now saving up for an additional year supply kit... Augason Farms is the way to go!

I ordered this one year supply after much comparing of other brands and other sellers on the internet. It is the best value by far. You need to compare the different types of food and the weight of each, it is a really great value! Plus it comes with a wheat grinder, havent tried it yet but if nothing else, can be used as a spare if I get a better one in the future. I see the earlier comment about the weight content in the cans, I see no problem with the total product content/filling of the cans. Some cans are lighter than others, the can of wheat weighs 5lbs while other cans of the freeze dried fruit weigh only a couple. But the net weight advertised is correct, at least on my order. The amounts in these cans are the same as other brands that I have seen advertised on other websites. Plus the shipping was free! If you look at the price per can for 85 cans, you can't beat this deal.

I have been caught in situations where getting out for food has been impossible. I ordered a one-year supply of food and have been very pleased with the quality of packaging and variety of foods. I'm not wild about the vegetarian meat-flavored (chicken, beef, taco) products since when I do eat meat I prefer it to be authentic and not vegetarian - but in a situation where I could not get or store meat - I will be happy to have it!

The majority of the items have a 25-30 year shelf life. If I have to reorder the 10 year items I'll never have to order again. I've got peace of mind that should I ever need an emergency food supply it will be there. No longer do I need to stock up on grocery store items and worry about rotating the stock because of items reaching expiration. When you receive this shipment sort through it then store it in a cool dry place. Out of sight, out of mind until you need it. I had researched other foods and the Sam's Club special offer made this the absolute best value. I recommended it to others and two of our friends also ordered this package. Unlike other posters, none of the cans were bent or damaged. All of the items had been sealed within two weeks of shipment.

I received 3 cans slightly dented, according to the web site this is ok. But 4 other cans are badly dented, so I don't know if they will be useable. The outer boxes were not crushed. So they were crushed by augason farms before packing as mentioned by another reviewer. I have not tried any of the products, so I can't comment on the quality. I have bought dehydrated food for camping in years past from another website and company that arrived in perfect condition. I believe in the future I will be using the other company for my food storage supplies. I would have ordered from them, but the items i wanted were on backorder.

This is a great value for the money. You get a great quantity of food but my only complaint is that the meat is vegan. You get a vegan chicken, some bacon and quite a bit of taco seasoned meat. The chocolate milk is also milk substitute but for the cases and cases of product you get I can over look things like that. I was going to order whole egg powder from a competitor and it was back ordered for so long it held up my complete order, it seemed like that was their standard operating procedure back order back order back order. Any time I tried to order a one year supply of food it was ALWAYS weeks backordered. I cancelled my entire order with them and ordered with Sams Club instead. What a breath of fresh air! IN STOCK! In the 1 yr order of food I got an entire case of 6 whole egg #10 cans and there were more in another case! I loved the hand mill for the grain - in a emergency catalog I saw the same one on sale for $49.99 that's included too. I am absolutely going to order another 1yr from Augason Farms to have on hand and will tell my family to have it in their storage areas too.

I followed what several other reviewers recommended. Buy extra rice including the brown rice (brown rice only has 7 year shelf life). Also buy extra dried fruit. Since I can't eat Gluten products I also bought gluten free bread mix, pancake mix, and brownie mix. Two minor complaints. 1. Augason did not always package like items in the same box. 2. Fedex put their label over the top of Augasons label on 80% of the boxes. Very frustrating.. I had to open every box just to identify what was inside then mark the box.

I ordered two of these kits (two people for one year) and I am extremely pleased with my purchase. The quality and quantity are outstanding for the price, which BTW is cheaper than through the manufacturer plus the FREE shipping. Highly recommend this for any couple who is even mildly thinking about the future world situation. I will be ordering more from the Sam's website. These are even good for everyday use and left unopened, will store for 30 years. Can't beat the prices and shipped in less than one week. Super bargain...

I haven't used my emergency food, but I have inventoried the products and they sent exactly as advertised. All cans are sealed and full of food. Labeled for easy identification. I think I made a good decision, if you compare with other food storage products, this one is priced well and offers a wide variety of food. You could do a lot worse. Get prepared!
