Bought same package last year for half the price, but I guess that's expected. The food is great! Easy to prepare and the best tasting of all the brands I have tried. I like this so much better than the ones that come already as meals. A couple of cans were switched out but I was happy with what they gave me instead. Very pleased with Augason

Boxes arrived in good condition. I didn't inspect individual cans or open any. Just put away for just in case. Hope I never need, but it does make me feel a little more secure knowing it's there.

I have researched many year supply kits out there, and compared nutritional value. This has any other kit beat, hands down. I just received my kit last week, and went through to inventory all the cans. Everything was right on the mark. I did have 2-3 badly dented cans, but just called up Augason Farms and they are sending out replacements today. Because of recent events, more and more people are buying these kits. I was able to receive my order in about 3 weeks, which is much faster than some other companies providing 1 year food kits. If you have researched it, Mountain House is no longer available... and the nutritional value of Aguason Farms beats them entirely! Be smart and add Beans, Lentils, Rolled Oats, Brown Rice, and Hard Red Wheat to this supply and you will literally have enough food for 2 years! My picture includes the year supply with the addition of 2 boxes of Brown Rice, 2 boxes of Hard Red Wheat, and 1 box of Fruit. Augason Farms is the ONLY emergency food company that offers Brown Rice, buy some! Other reviews say some cans are partially filled... this is because the cans are based on serving sizes. Realize that you are not getting shorted at all. Yes, some cans weigh more than others... but that is like trying to compare the weight of gold to aluminum. Some foods just weigh more than others. Overall, this is a fabulous purchase! I recommend this product to everyone who wants to be smart in our current way of life. I am now saving up for an additional year supply kit... Augason Farms is the way to go!

We purchased this product to bolster our food storage program. After weeks of research we found AF products the best for the money. We received ours back in Feb 2011 and have since sampled some of the product and would recomend this to anyone wanting to be ready (not if, but WHEN the Feds break our backs/economy). We will be purchasing the 1 year- 4 person product early next year.

I ordered two of these kits (two people for one year) and I am extremely pleased with my purchase. The quality and quantity are outstanding for the price, which BTW is cheaper than through the manufacturer plus the FREE shipping. Highly recommend this for any couple who is even mildly thinking about the future world situation. I will be ordering more from the Sam's website. These are even good for everyday use and left unopened, will store for 30 years. Can't beat the prices and shipped in less than one week. Super bargain...

There are actually 15 boxes, not 14, though one box contained only one can and the wheat grinder. If the upload photo works for this review, you will see a photo I took as soon as it was delivered to my house (via FedEx, 3 days before scheduled delivery). This should give you some perspective on size of all the boxes together when compared to my 9yo's bike. (Of course I moved the boxes inside... the garage is too hot too store your food storage items!) We purchased this for our family of 4 as a 3 month food storage kit. Everything is well labeled and has multiple recipes for their use. I hope that I will never need to use them, but sleep better knowing that I will be able to feed my family if a major emergency strikes. I plan to buy one more of these kits in a couple months so we have a full 6 months of this type of emergency food storage (to go with my growing pantry stock of food as well). I purchased a pack of 15 P38 can openers for about 6 bucks and will store them with this kit... one in each box. Overkill? Maybe, but I'd hate to have all this food that I couldn't get into! One concern I had was that I would be sent a can of food that had a 10 year shelf life but was 2 years old. Not the case at all. The oldest can of food was 4 months old. Several were packaged less than 6 weeks ago. (There is a Julian Date printed on the bottom of each can to tell when it was packaged.) The price is excellent... significantly less than straight from the manufacturer. I've "spoken" to Augason Farms via Facebook and they have always been responsive and very nice. When doing an inventory to make sure all cans were received (they were - some with minor dents but nothing objectionable) I also resorted them so that cans with the same shelf life were in the same box. I then wrote the contents on the outside of the box along with the expiration date. This will make "rotation" even easier... but the first time I will need to worry about that is in 2021. My 12yo son got excited about the Brownies and that they "only" had a 10 year shelf life. He asked that if we don't need them for emergency food before then, he wants me to bake them for his 22nd birthday!

I havent actually eatin anything yet, but i noticed that alot of people had problems with damaged cans. My shipment came in seven days with not even the slightest dent. I opened all the boxes to see the content, marked the boxes, and then put the cans back in. Hopefully that is where they will stay for along time.

Everything arrived in good condition. We were very curious so we opened the diced potatoes. They were surprisingly good. The only reason for the 4 star rating is because the servings are not individually packaged, but at half the price of other similar products I can overlook that.

This is a great value for the money. You get a great quantity of food but my only complaint is that the meat is vegan. You get a vegan chicken, some bacon and quite a bit of taco seasoned meat. The chocolate milk is also milk substitute but for the cases and cases of product you get I can over look things like that. I was going to order whole egg powder from a competitor and it was back ordered for so long it held up my complete order, it seemed like that was their standard operating procedure back order back order back order. Any time I tried to order a one year supply of food it was ALWAYS weeks backordered. I cancelled my entire order with them and ordered with Sams Club instead. What a breath of fresh air! IN STOCK! In the 1 yr order of food I got an entire case of 6 whole egg #10 cans and there were more in another case! I loved the hand mill for the grain - in a emergency catalog I saw the same one on sale for $49.99 that's included too. I am absolutely going to order another 1yr from Augason Farms to have on hand and will tell my family to have it in their storage areas too.

Received my kit today. Opened it up and had lots of badly dented cans. Some boxes were mishandled by the carrier and they taped them up. Oddly those boxes did not have dented cans. The boxes that were in "good shape" had the dented cans. Augason farms needs to put spacers in between their cans and use a heavier grade box like a competitor of theirs. This could reduce the damage to the cans. I have not attempted to get them replaced as I do not think it would be worth the time or aggrevation.
