Fantastic for Walking!
Love this Treadmill! Had it for a week and use it everyday. It is addictive. I weigh 350lb and the machine does not strain with me on it. The belt needs adjusting every now and then. The hardest part was getting it out of the box. You need 2 people. We ended up slitting the corners and sliding the machine off that way. I had one knob handle which broke in transit. No big deal. I think the company should think about bubble wrapping them when they ship. The treadmill is exactly as described. It is extremely sturdy. My sister weighs 125lb and she tried the max speed of 4 and she was bookin' ! She said it gives her a good work out with out running. I love the preset time feature so I don't have to keep looking at the clock. It beeps at you before it stops at your preset time. I also love the convience of the controls on the handles. I can speed up and slow down at the slight movement of my thumb. I haven't exercised in years! I can't wait for the next day to get on it again. Love this product!

Perfect for larger people!
It's quiet, runs smooth and wide enough for larger people. I have had a regular one and I found that my shoes were catching on the sides, because it wasn't wide enough, but this one is great! It doesn't bother my joints. It's just a smooth walk. Highly recommended.

Good walking treadmill...a couple of suggestions
This treadmill is as advertised. I purchased it to replace an old treadmill, and I have been using it for about a week and like the performance. If you order this machine, be careful when you unpack it. The computer console hangs loose from the machine by its wiring, and I could see if someone was not careful they might accidentally damage the console/wiring. Also, I found that the only way to attach the stabilizing leg extensions on the bottom was if the treadmill was in the upright position, rather than lowered, as the directions indicated. Finally, I found the safety cord to be just a few inches too short, and needed to attach another piece of cord to it so I could have the freedom to walk without tugging on the cord.

easy to set up
I bought this treadmill to lose weight and it works great I use it everyday, and my 13 yr old son also uses it for an hour everyday..this treadmill is very heavy so u would need someone to help with taking it out of the box, but all you do is stand it up attach the computer and you are ready to walk or jog, its definitely worth the money. .

Great for heavy-duty use
This is a very sturdy treadmill that my whole family uses, even the kids. It has an easy-start button and "up/down" buttons to control the speed so anyone can figure it out. We have four kids and three adults using it and it runs just fine even with extended use. It easily holds the weight capacity with no problems.

Experpeutic 440XL review
Well the first delivery of this product (via FEDEX) was a disaster. The box (and packing materials) arrived damaged. After unpacking (no small feat for one person) i discovered some parts missing - namely the safety key which is needed to start the belt. I suspect that the treadmill i received was probably someone elses return although i cannot prove that. I called Walmart customer service and they were very responsive. They offered a no-hassle exchange which i accepted. But i had to pack up the old one. Ugh! But i did and sent it back. The second treadmill arrived quickly and was in much better shape with all the parts included. The treadmill is easy to assemble but unless you are a strong(er) person, i'd recommend 2 people to do this. The treadmill worked as advertised with a pulse, speed, distance, timer, and calories counter. They all seem to function o.k. It should be noted that this treadmill does not have *any* of the bells and whistles of more expensive treadmills. But thats o.k. I didn't want any. I just walk on it. The belt is 20 inches wide which is good. I cannot image walking on a 16 inch belt as some treadmills are advertised as. I guess if you are a really small person that would be o.k. My biggest complaint with the treadmill is the height of the bars. Although you can tilt them i have not found a way to actually raise them higher. As i am over 6 feet tall i have to stoop (a little) to grab the bar. Not a big deal but a complaint nonetheless. And of course the other issue is the shipping. Walmart must do better to ensure a damage free delivery! You'll see a lot of that complaint in these reviews. Having said all this i still gave the treadmill 4 stars. I am happy with the purchase.

Assembly not as simple as portrayed
I chose this treadmill after a ton of research on features and benefits and decided that this was the best option for a couple of reasons: 1). the high 400lb max user capacity and 2). the ease of assembly. I actually purchased the $89 expert assembly option but after reading countless reviews about how easy it was to assemble; I decided that I probably would not need it and cancelled it before my treadmill arrived...and that is where I went wrong. So, first things first; I started to get a little nervous when I saw the tools pack with at least 20 different sized screws and bolts along with the wrench/Philips screwdriver it came with. See, to me simple does not involve me reviewing diagrams on where to place a part and then screwing it into place. To me, simple means that there may be a few basic parts that easily "snap" into place or connect to each other. So after screwing the 1st set of screws on the stabilizer bar which was pretty simple; I got frustrated and gave up when I couldn't figure out how to fit the stabilizer on the machine itself. So, while the assembly may be simple for most; if you know that you are particularly challenged with this type of thing then you may want to purchase the expert assembly or hire a handyman on thumbtack.com to assist you if there is no one around you that can help. For feedback to the manufacturer--it would be extremely helpful to provide video instructions for the assembly which would be beneficial for those of us who are visual learners. I scoured YouTube looking for a video assembly tutorial, and the only one I could find did not show how to attach the stabilizer bar. Apparently, there are different versions of this same model and I believe some may come more fully assembled than others because the tutorial I saw appeared to have the stabilizer bar already attached right out of the box. Otherwise, I am pleased with the machine thus far considering that I haven't got it fully assembled yet. It came packaged very well and it is as sturdy as other reviewers have indicated. It doesn't take up too much space, although it is a nice size for a simply designed piece of home equipment. The base is comparable to what you might find in a commercial treadmill at a gym but designed for home usage. So my point is if you are a heavier guy or gal; you should feel secure on it and not feel like you are going to break it. So those are my initial thoughts for now--I will update my review after I get it up and running and fully operational.

Treadmill is fine but Customer support is terrible
The treadmill works fine and meets all expectations. I had only one intermittant problem but that led to my major problem with this product. I refer to the lack of technical support by the manufacturer. I tried to get some help with an error code by the computer. I called two different phone nos. given in the manual and left a message each time. I tried the web site given in the manual with no success. I wrote to the e-mail address given for technical support and so far I have had no response whatever. It's a lonely feeling to have a new product and know you have no way of getting technical support.

Won't start right and keeps turning off
I bought this product and set it up. I left it alone for a week because of my busy schedule. When I went to turn it on it gave me an error message. The manual says that the error message is either because it is not getting enough voltage or the computer is not working properly. I changed the location of the machine to try other plugs and it still did the same thing. The machine will either turn on and stay on for only 13 minutes then cuts off and gives an error message or it will not turn on and give you an error 3 message and cut off. I am having to deal with the company to get an exchange or refund. This is so disappointing because I really was looking forward to using this machine.

short and squeaky
This treadmill looked good online, however it seems a bit rickety. When the hubby used it, it made a squeaky noise and was too short for his stride. Possibly a good buy for shorter lighter peeps, but we are trading in tomorrow. Thanks Walmart for making exchanges possible. Gonna get a Golds Gym treadmill.
