Was looking for something stovetop based. Surprise! Carnitas are now in the summer rotation. Add some green chiles or salsa Verde...yum!Makes a lot and is tasty in tortillas or just piled on chips with cheese and tomatoes, sour cream (think nachos). Reliably consistent. Freezes well. I thaw, power 9 in the microwave for four minutes, then follow skillet instructions.

I only recently discovered Del Real products and, so far, they are all fantastic. for the carnitas, I microwave the product then skillet fry it as instructed. Near the end, I add the juice of 2 limes, since I have seen my favorite taqueria do this and it enhances the flavor making a great product a little bit better. Yum!

The pupusas are sooo good and the carnitas are a great quick meal with an authentic flavor and texture
