I am an expatriate of the Chicago area. For those of you outside Chicago that may not know; Kronos has a monopoly on this product. Much like Vienna Beef has a monopoly on Chicago hot dogs. There is a good reason for this; all of the other products are sad and pathetic impressions. Thank you Sam's. Please do not discontinue this item.It would also be great if you entered negotiations with Vienna for hot dogs and Italian beef.

There are two pouches in the box each with a pound of gyro meat but it is easy to just break off what you need and freeze the rest. I prefer this gyro meat to any I have had in south Fl restaurants. It is a perfectly seasoned blend of lamb and beef . You add your own tzatziki, pita, lettuce , tomato and onion and you will have an awesomely delish gyro.

I brought this a couple of months ago was very happy with the slices the thickness of the meat and taste So sad to announce that this time they cut the packs in half there was not slices it was more like crumbles couldn't even use it to make a full sandwich I will not buy again I will not recommend this item

Just had this tonight. We were going to have it last night but it was not a kit with all included like I expected, so I had to go out and buy pita bread and tsaziki sauce today. I am rating it on the taste. It was so much better than the kits you buy whose meat looks like strips of bacon. I am amazed that some people gave it 1-2 stars, saying that it tastes nothing like a gyros sandwich they have eaten before. I am 100% GREEK. I have eaten at many Greek restaurants in Chicago, as well as in Greece. This meat was excellent. It tasted as if they just cut it off the spit. I will definitely buy again.

Great taste! Bought it and served in garlic naan wrappers with lettuce, onions and tomatoes - tasted great. What a treat for living in a rural area. Only thing in the box is the meat. 2 packages. It mentions slices, but I could only get them out by breaking them off and not as slices. This did not affect the taste only portions. Plan on buying again!

These are great. I stuff them in a low carb pita with onions and peppers with melted cheese (I try to make it look like the picture :-).

We have continued to buy this product every since we tried it; praying you do not discontinue it! I work for TCH and we do a lot of Luncheon fundraisers; I plan to make Gyros next time.

My family and I loved visiting the sponge docks in Tarpon Springs, FL and having amazing Gyros. We got these on a whim and omg so good! We made our own Tzatziki and grilled the pitas! Will buy again! Just like Tarpon!
