I've purchased these many times in the past few years.  I remember when they were $12 something.  Last year they were $13.98 and went up again to $14.98.  They've gone up another $4.50 to $19.48 in the last 2 months.  This is more than 40% more we're paying.  Ridiculous.  Restaurant gyros cost less than this.  
Costco has gyros for $12 something, guess that's what I'll be buying moving forward. Not a fan of this profiteering!

why the jump in price??

This is a good product. Taste is fairly authentic to what you'd get in a Greek restaurant. Will buy it again. The Pita Sam's sells is very good too.
