They are set to constantly drain so they run until they die, usually five to seven years. The jury is still out on this one so I'll have to let you know. With that said the unit is doing an excellent job.

This dehumidifier is great ,, really takes the moisture out and makes air conditioning air cooler. I also have fabric for sewing and it keep that really dry and cool . A must have if you are experiencing moist air in your house , basement , Florida room .

We bought this to replace one that didn't seem to be doing the job. Our spring and summer has been nothing but wet! With water seeping through basement floor. This model has been running almost continuous, and the basement is beginning to look like it should--plus we have buckets of water every day to water plants and flowers with!

Selected this based on other positive reviews and it has been running continuously for a month with no issues and maintaining a 45-50% relative humidity, no complaints.

My only issue is that if it runs continuously with a pump, it adds significantly to my electric bill. If I don't use the pump and just empty it regularly, the amount it holds is very heavy.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am using this to remove the excess humidity from the basement level of my house. I bypassed the bucket and have a hose connected so that it can drain into the sump pit that has a pump. Seems to be doing its job so far!

I've had this dehumidifier In my basement for a few years. It runs almost constantly. Recently when it starts to turn on, it comes on and off for 1 second about 10-15 times before it finally starts. I tried calling a Frigidaire but the recording says they have no one to take the call.

Her basement is quite chilly and she got hers because it works in cool temperatures.) This humidifier REALLY takes out the water from our basement - much more than the old one did. And it's much quieter than the old one. Would highly recommend. Plus has the best warranty we found.

My condo was damp with humidity levels in the upper 60's until I bought this unit. Now I am able to keep the humidity right about 50% with no problem. The unit does run a lot but it never freezes up like so many dehumidifiers do. This unit works great and is nice looking! I would highly recommend this dehumidifier!!
