[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really needed this, especially in the cooler weather when my air conditioning does not come on and we get condensation in the windows. It cycles regularly and is easy to empty and the filter is easy to clean. It's been a life changer for an overly humid apartment!

I'm using this appliance daily and it does exactly what I purchased it for. The timer feature works well whether set the appliance to turn itself on or off. It seems quieter than a previous which I had and I'm satisfied with the performance. I've only owned this appliance 14 days so time will tell more.

No it did not meet my expectations at all had almost 3 years to the day I bought this dehumidifier. Has error EC WILL NOT take out humidity just runs think the compressor is gone I will be calling tomorrow to see what can be done and the costs on my part. So disappointed. I have a old dehumidifier that I've had over 30 years and is still working and it is a Frigidaire I bought at Sears. What's happened we are not made of money and think a product should last and do a great job. Shame on your products go back and make products that work like they use to.

It is far superior in all aspects - quieter, faster, and the room actually is drier and no longer smells “like a basement”. The reviews were right - this is a superior product.

I bought this humidifier at the end of July. It worked well for a couple of months. I went to the basement to empty the bucket last week and their was water on the floor. I cleaned it up and tried it again and got the same result. The water isn't going into the bucket.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using this dehumidifier for three weeks and so far all is well. I like the large bucket and machine is fairly quiet. Using it in the basement and it is taking care of three rooms, about 360 sq feet.

This works as advertised. Ran a hose off the back for draining but you may have to clean the hose every couple of months as it clogged up after 2-3 months and the water went to the bucket in the unit. Figured it out after a bit and working fine again. Will it lasts 2-3 years? Time will tell.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I needed an additional dehumidifier and bought this one. I have been using an identical unit in another location. It has worked well. I chose to buy the same model again because of the good experience I've had with the one I already owned.

Our first Frigidaire ENERGY STAR 50-Pint Dehumidifier ran continuously for more than five years without a break. We were extremely happy with it. Easy to empty the collection container and clean the filter. It pulled astounding volumes of water from our basement and was able to maintain the humidity level at well below 50% for all of that time, even when the environment was cold. We recently noticed it was becoming less efficient, so ordered this as a replacement so we'd have it before complete failure. The FAD504DWD has turned out to be a near exact replacement, and we have no reason to believe this one will not last for more than five years as well.

I'm sure this is a great product I really don't know for sure I bought it for my girlfriend for Christmas and a week later I broke up with her. The cupple days I was at her house I did notice a difference in the mustyness in her basement, and I was emptying the container every day so it was pulling the moisture out.
