It could never get the humidity to the level I had selected so it ran constantly. Within a day the new unit was at that level and now cycles only when necessary. Very pleased with my purchase as the unit also isn't as loud when running.

Really wanted the handle in the collection tank as it makes emptying so much easier. It is possible to remove the plastic splash guard to clean the inside of the tank. So far it has worked as we had hoped, just hope that it will last as long as the one it is replacing. Works great.

We had to return this item because the water holding tank had a split in it. Looks as if some one had returned the item. It was marked with a magic marker were the tank was split. We did not notice this until after we noticed the water leak. Wal mart should have been told about the problem and it should not have been shipped out to another customer. We had purchased another one like this a year ago and we loved it.

We have had this about 3 months now and can absolutely say that it has made our home environment much more comfortable. It dries our air out so much that we are able to run our AC at 3 - 4 degrees warmer, which has helped our electric bill. We live in Florida, so we know all about humidity. It is slightly noisey, that is actually soothing and we got used to it right away. I would highly recommend this product to anyone that has a high humidity problem in there home. Love this product!

I've been using this in my basement for over two months and it works great. Shuts off automatically when I forget to empty it and has kept our basement from getting that damp basement smell. It's actually so easy that my 3 year old can empty since he likes to "help". Also automatically lets you know to clean the filter, which is nice.

This is at least our third dehumidifier and so far this one has performed the best. It is fairly quiet and does a good job of lowering the humidity in our finished basement. The true test will be how long it runs well. Other brands have failed in only a few years so time will tell.
