After having the Dehumidifier only a month the handle screw pulled/striped out of the water collection container. Couldn't be fixed cracked. Called Fridaire for a replacement they said $75.00 dollars and they would ship it for free. Big deal!!! Poor response and bad quality. Done dealing with Fridaire!!! Wallmart saved the day. Replace no problem. Thanks Walmart good customer service.

This dehumidifier is located in my basement. We have an old damp, but clean basement and with the spring thaw it was wetter then normal. We were in desperate need to bring the humidity down. This product keeps the basement at a comfortable humidity level. I don't know how it compared to the old one in electricity used. I hope to see a reduction in next months bill. :-)

I want to tried a big one for my basement witch is about 900 square feet. Then I may dry the air from the basement to the first floor. The machine work well. It drink lots of water soon, about one cup in 30 minutes when I start it. The sound is OK, but to my compact basement, sounds big. There is a little high whistle. Well, it seems some bigger to my little space, too. So I try to return it. The return process is so easy. I can't find another better place for shopping in such great value as Walmart.

I had a dehumidifier that I bought a couple of years ago and it would run for over a week before collecting 30 pints. With this Frigidaire 50-pint, I got 50 pints for five days in a row. Now I've settled in on a setting of 50% humidity and it keeps the basement nice and comfortable. I like to exercise down in my basement and its a lot more comfortable now. This unit really delivers the goods!!!

This dehumidifier - FAD504DWD - replaced our Soleus Air that was recalled. So far, I miss the Soleus, since it was just a bit better for the same bucks. This Frigidaire isn't noisy, so don't know what others are hearing. The compressor is just a bit louder than our Soleus was, but it is certainly quiet enough that I could hear the TV over it if it were upstairs, and we don't really notice it when we go downstairs. Since it is not near a drain, I empty the bucket a couple times a day, more if it is really rainy out. It is just a bit unwieldy getting out and back in .. my old dehumidifiers seemed to have a bucket that was more square and thus easier to maneuver in and out. However, just a little patience and voila! Carry it over to the tub, dump it out, and it's ready to fill again :-) So, I guess the bucket is the reason this dehumidifier did not get a 5 on value.

This product has so far been working above what I thought it would. I did not realize how much moisture was in my finished basement. Been on constant for two weeks and still getting two full buckets every day. The basement feels and smells good. Would recommend product.

Very nice looking unit I'm using it for about2–3 weeks and I am very happy I bought this Frigidaire dehumidifier Model: FAD504DWD. It's operating just as described.It is operating very quiet, removes a great amount of humidity which is very important to me.The removable filter is a plus, It is easy to clean. I'm using it in my basement, but I recommend you could use it any place in your home because it is not noisy. The unit has a 2 speed fan, high and low. In my opinion the prices is reasonable.

I bought this dehumidifier and am impressed with all it's features and how it works. Within an hour of turning it on, it had already pulled quite a bit of water out of the air inside the house. It's much more comfortable in here. It's really not too noisy. We run it on low most of the time. It's on casters, so it can be moved easily from one area to another. The water tank is really easy to remove and put back in and it doesn't spill all over. I'd recommend this brand if you are looking to buy a dehumidifier.

Reduced humidity in 1900 square foot basement in 2 days. Unit is relatively quiet. I do recommend the hose attachment for continuous draining as the 50 pint bucket fills quickly when humidity is high. My only problem was positioning the unit to directly plug into an electrical outlet without using an extension cord as my basement has limited wired outlets.

Bought this to dehumidify a finished basement. Selected this model based on previous reviews, price, brand reputation and the fact that it was supposed to be particularly quiet -- 53 db while running. It is a well made unit, easy to empty reservoir, and easy to use. Only minor complaint I have is that it is not as quiet as I had hoped -- it is like having a fan running in the room, and selecting the lower of the 2 fan speeds does not seem to make it much quieter. No mechanical noises, just air blowing. Every dehumidifier needs to draw air across the coils, so I would guess that this is very typical. After 2 weeks of continuous running, we have been very satisfied.
