We have had it for less than two weeks but so far it is doing a great job. The first few days just let the water collect in the bucket so we could see how much was being taken out of the air. Went down every 12 hours to empty the full bucket. By the third 3 day the humidity level in the basement went from 68% to 50%. Set it on 55% after 3 days and it has maintained that level - checked it with a separate humidity gauge. Then we hooked up a hose going from it to the sump pump so we could forget about emptying the bucket. Easy to use and quiet.

Quiet and powerful

I've just been using this dehumidifier for about two weeks. So far, it's been great. It's much quieter than my other Goldstar dehumidifier and pulls a ton of water. I don't use the hose feature yet because I want to see how much water it's pulling. It usually fills the 50 pint bucket in less than one day from my unfinished basement area. Great product so far, wonderful shipping service from Walmart.

Easy to set up

So easy to set up. We had an LG previously and I am trusting the reviews that this one will be even better. We have only been using it a week but after heavy rains I saw it work its magic immediately. It blows a lot of air out of the top of the unit which our previous unit did not. But it doesn't matter to me.

Works great, but not quiet!

I can't talk about durability, we've just recently started using it. but both we and my sister have the same kind. we're all very impressed by how well it works. but it tends to make a shrill noise when it's running. hers is the 70 gallon, and it makes the same noise. I don't mind, I keep it in the basement, but when everything is quiet, I can hear it in the kitchen, which is right above it. but it turns off when it's not needed. and since it works so well, we intend to keep it!

removes moisture with a bit of noise

This unit does a good job of removing moisture. It is not as quiet as Id hoped, based on other reviews. I guess low noise is relative to what you are use to. Like having a "quiet" lawnmower. I just turn it off when it bugs me. Also, once it has reached the set humidity level, it turns itself off. That helps as well. I attached a hose to go directly to drain, so no concerns about emptying the bucket.

A small size workhorse.

I have only had this for a couple weeks but its been running like a champ so far. Its definitely made a difference in my basement which is very noticeable. The overall cost/value to me is about right. You can always find cheaper but then that's exactly what you get. I did the research and it pointed me to this one and so far its the correct choice. The one this I would change would be a bigger bucket as mine is filling up every day but that means its doing its job.

Well constructed and whisper quiet.

Impressed with the manufacturing. Very sturdya and attractive. The electronice controls are easy to understand. You basically plug it in and watch your basement dry out. It has a threaded connected on the back that is elevated about eleven inches that you can screw a garden hose on. Well done Frigidaire!!

Does a good job

I have only had this product for a few weeks. It is easy to set up and use. It does what it is meant to do. I am using this in my basement and it has helped with the humidity. The smell is gone and my door will now shut. The bucket filled several times a day so the option to attach a hose is very handy. The price was quite a bit less than other stores for the same unit. Other reviews have mentioned the unit breaks down just outside of the warranty so I purchased the extra warranty and still spent less than the price at another store.

Good value

The unit is very nice and quiet and effective. However, I cannot get it to shut off by itself. There was a clunking sound last night, and this a.m. only a very little water and humidity was up again. Today it seems like it is back to normal, otherwise I will call for service. FRIGIDAIRE does not offer free customer service, you have to call their business line. OOPS!!!

Efficient and quiet

I replaced an earlier model Frigidaire dehumidifier. Even though it had worked flawlessly for the time that I owned it, there was a recall on it and it had to be rendered unusable. We use it in the basement to prevent moisture build up. Set up is easy, started pulling moisture out of the air immediately and runs quietly. I have a drain hose connected to it so I don't have to empty the reservoir constantly.
