This dehumidifier is lighter, more quiet, and easier to install than my last system. It seems to use less power than my last dehumdifier as well, according to the specifications on the machine. I have only had it for a week now, but it seems to be running well, and is definitely making a difference in my basement, using a drain option.

Excellent product but instructions written very very poorly. No mention as to how to set up for auto on off humidity levels. I had to call twice to Frigidaire to find a person that knew what she was talking about. Auto on and Auto off mentioned but not explained. Most people would not use those two (separate) features. Most would use a set humidity level and allow the unit to turn on and off automatically but that feature is not explained at all in the instructions.

I have had the unit running almost constantly as it has gotten our home down to a reasonable humidity level. It has been easy to use and I had no problem setting it up to drain with the hose. A few people complained about that but as I put in the title....so far so good. I probably should have bought the bigger unit, but that is my own fault. I can't say anything bad about this unit. See me in a couple years and if it is still going strong I'd make it 5 stars.

Fairly quiet. Even when we think the weather is dry (low humidity), we find 50 pints of water collected every morning. We have a walk-out ranch home and the dehumidifier runs in the unfinished part of basement. Now we never have a damp smell in our finished family room.

I am a first time buyer of a dehumidifier, and have owned this product for 10 days, and so far- it works well! It's pretty quiet for a unit this size. It's more quiet than my in-the-wall air conditioner. It came securely packaged, but I had a little difficulty getting it out of the box. I am petite and live alone. The instructions on the outside of the box states that it takes two people to remove it from the box. Unit has to be pulled up and out, and not lay box on its side. During the first few days, I emptied the bucket twice daily while operating it in the continuous mode for the first 5-6 days. I can't comment on the timer because I empty bucket a little before it reaches that point. To empty, I carefully remove bucket, slowly pour water in bathroom sink, pop canister back in, and unit starts working again. I refrain from using the handle to carry bucket because of some reviews about it breaking, and every 2-3 days I add a few drops of bleach to bucket after emptying for sanitation purposes. I'm so happy - now that the carpeting in my apartment feels dry again, not to mention the air smells fresher. What a relief - I'm not feeling that dampness under my bare feet and smelling musty odor. I could not believe the amount of moisture this unit draws out - but seeing is believing! It gets the job done for my entire (small) one bedroom apartment. Nonetheless, I won't throw out the box just yet . . . but in the meantime, I highly recommend this product! Thank you.

Set this up about a couple of weeks ago and it's working fine. My basement smells fresher with it running. I bought an ordinary 10-foot garden hose and attached it to the back for continuous draining into the laundry tub (had to put it on a table to do this, though, because the hose can't be elevated to drain right). Very pleased with this purchase so far!

I use it in my basement. It is nice looking with easy instructions for use. It is on casters so can be tricky to remove the bucket, which is in the front, because it rolls. It has a handle so the bucket is easy to carry & empty. The digital features are nice, and so far seems to do the job.

This is the second Frigidaire 50 pt. dehumidifier I've bought from WalMart, and I've been totally satisfied with both of them. These are well designed units that operate efficiently and quietly. I especially like the auto restart feature that restarts the unit with the previous settings after a power outage. Overall this appears to be a high quality model with a competitive WalMart price.

We have been running the unit for almost 3 weeks, and are very pleased with its performance. Instaled in a 24 X 32 foot basement, it is keeping the space cool and dry (humidity down to 40 %). It is very quiet which will be an even bigger plus if we need to move the unit to another room.

The dehumidifier is VERY quiet, the controls are very easy to use, has a convenient filter location, and the solid casters make room relocation a breeze. My basement is large and the dehumidifer is able to handle the demand. The ordering and delivery process were outstanding-quick, convenient, and no cost!
