Right away I noticed less odor in the basement, and eventually after a week or so, the overall humidity of the basement has dropped to a point that the dehumidifier does not need to run non stop. Product is great and exactly what I was hoping for.

Two features that you would expect in all models but this is the first to provide them and I have yet to get two years out of other brands. Time will tell if there is a third outstanding feature.

I purchased this Frigidaire dehumidifier 2 months ago and I am very pleased with the results. I empty the reservoir every day and it is full. We have never had one that removes this much moisture from the air. It works very well, we are very pleased. This summer has been very humid outside, but our basement feels cool and comfortable thank's to Frgidaire.

Bought this humidifier a month ago. It took us about a week to figure what setting was appropriate. We put it in our basement . Now seems to be working well, water draining through hose, runs sometimes but not all the time, and musty basement smell is better. Satisfied so far.

I bought this about 3 weeks ago to control the humidity in a partial basement. We live in NC and it's been VERY humid. The basement smelled musty. Two days after running the dehumidifier the smell was GONE. I set it on RH 50% and the problem is solved.

It fills every day and my wife uses the water for her plants on the deck and porch! I do not understand why people are surprised it puts off heat. It is a refrigeration unit and has a hot and cold coil. It is basically a window unit sitting inside redesigned to remove moisture instead of cooling an area. Just use common sense and do not put it near your thermostat and keep the humidity level 55% or lower. This is due to the fact mold cannot grow unless it is 60% or above. Sometimes if the humidity is in the very low range, say 40%, you can dry out nasal passages and create sinus problems. Great unit and we are very pleased, hope the information above is of good use. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had this dehumidifier for over a month now. So far it's doing a great job. The features are great, it shows the degree of dryness that you want and removing the bucket and filter is easy. Just rinse the filter clean and dry it and reinsert it. I put a hose in a drain on mine. That works very well. The bucket gets too heavy and I hate emptying it more than once a day. My basement is dry and odor free and it helps my central air system out. Too cold in the basement at times. No wetness what so ever dripping from the pipes.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Had the product for about a month. Developed an aggravating loud vibration. You can tap on the side and it goes away but returns soon. Other than that it's an ok unit. Easy to hook up external drain.

Works great. You will be amazed at how much water it pulls. Our harwood floors creak again and our wooden doors close better. The unit runs constantly due to our current issue, but finally starting to cut off when preset humidity level set on the unit is reached. Unit humidity gauge seems higher than separate digital guage we also purchased. We have the unit set to 50% and cuts off when our separate digital guage reads 43-44%. Dumping the water and cleaning the filter is simple. We do not have the hose hooked up. Unit is kind of loud at time depending on how hard it is working, but you get used to it. It does start to make a rattling noise on and off after constant use or when it gets about time to clean filter. Worth the money and glad we got it for our small home.
