[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our vintage dehumidifier finally died so it was time to get a replacement. The prices varied a lot with similar features. I was so happy to find this Frigidaire model with the basic features at a reasonable price and many positive reviews. My only reservation is that I don't trust the plastic handle used to empty it when it's full.

My new Frigidaire 50-pint dehumidifier seems to be operating perfectly since I got it as a replacement for a similar one I had a couple years. This one is more modern and easy to move around in my good-sized basement. I was very pleased with the replacement procedure Frigidaire has in place for my area as my prior unit was failing to draw water and was still under warranty. Everyone I talked to was super nice, which was a pleasant surprise as I am more used to running into dead ends and uncooperative representatives.

We bought this because the home we are renting felt so sticky ALL the time. Within the first day of use, we could really tell a difference. I think we emptied the reservoir at least twice within 24 hours! The unit is really easy to use and clean, has great features, and gets the job done!

We bought this to replace one that didn't seem to be doing the job. Our spring and summer has been nothing but wet! With water seeping through basement floor. This model has been running almost continuous, and the basement is beginning to look like it should--plus we have buckets of water every day to water plants and flowers with!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this dehumidifier about a month ago and am very pleased with its performance. It runs quietly and seems to do a great job at keeping the humidity levels down. The only complaint is that the reservoir only holds 2 gallons (our old one held 3) and that the reservoir is somewhat difficult to empty without spilling. Otherwise it seems to be a good product so far.

I check several reviews of dehumidifiers anywhere they sold dehumidifiers, and this brand was always top rated, and this model or the 70 pint model was the preferred choice,......which is how I ended up buying this particular dehumidifier,.....I have used it for 2 weeks now with no problems,........I have lowered the humidity from 70 percent down to 40 percent in a 800 sq ft area with a concrete slab foundation,.......the noise level is the same as a window air conditioner,.......the fan will run all the time if the unit is turned on, but the compressor will cycle on and off as needed to achieve the set humidity level,.......I don't notice much difference with the air temp coming out, but it is slightly warmer, but is relative to the temp of the air going in,........it is easy to operate, empty the bucket, and to clean the air filter,.......I hope this helps anyone else

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this unit about a month ago to regulate the basement moisture level in a newly built home at the recommendation of our builder. Selected this based on other positive reviews and it has been running continuously for a month with no issues and maintaining a 45-50% relative humidity, no complaints.

We bought this about 2 months ago to replace our old dehumidifier that died. I am extremely satisfied with this model and specifically the ability to hook a drain hose directly up to the unit. This ability to bypass the bucket and drain directly to the sump pump is a welcomed time saver.

My only issue is that if it runs continuously with a pump, it adds significantly to my electric bill. If I don't use the pump and just empty it regularly, the amount it holds is very heavy.
