Had the unit for about a month. In terms of dehumification it did a fair job, but was never able to get the humidity below 60. I used the hose connection on the back, which was really convenient. The filter removal was a stupid design as you had to first remove the water drawer. Unfortunately the unit was just way to loud. It was louder then the 8 year old unit it was replacing. I tired everything I could think of to quiet it down, but no matter what you could still hear from upstairs (it was in the basement). In the end I returned it and purchase another brand. The other brand performed much better, taking the humidity down to 48. The filter came out the top of the unit without removing the drawer. But best of all the unit is very quiet. Even when in the same room, it can be hard to hear it.

I have had this dehumidifier for 2 months. It has worked very well. I like that it cycles on/off as needed by the humidity level. The biggest selling point was the 5 year sealed system warranty. My Mother has the same model purchased a year earlier. She is also very happy with it.

I bought this because of it's good ratings, but my experience was not as positive for sure. I didn't have it plugged in during the Fall and Winter at all so I got maybe 8 months at the outside where it seemed to be working properly. After that it indicated the filter needed cleaning although I did so repeatedly. Even though I tried to reset the %, it kept going back to 65. Approximately a month ago, I started to get the infamous EC code and followed the directions in the manual. It would work again for a couple hours when the code reappeared. Now a year has passed and I would be responsible for paying for diagnosis and labor along with who knows what. Considering the additional cost and fact that it operated correctly for such a short time, it is more prudent for me to buy another dehumidifier and believe me it won't be a Frigidaire.

Bought this unit to dehumidify and reduce mold/mildew. Has 50-pint per day capacity and is very effective. Requires emptying once or twice a day but has a hose for continual drainage if desired. Background noise is a little louder than I expected. Easy to empty and easy to clean filter.

The humidity dropped and it was nice and comfortable down there as it is used as a bedroom. Glad I bought it. Would definatly recommend to anyone.

Wet basement started to rust out the poles holding the house up and after buying my Frigidaire dehumidifier I no longer have to worry about it.

"It's amazing" is quite an exaggeration, and a cheap marketing trick. But I am very happy with this dehumidifier. While not quiet (when are they?), it's consistent, does a great job of reducing humidity, and has an easy-to-access filter and reservoir. I did get the extended warranty, just in case. But this baby is SOLID!

Within 24 hours after I plug in the new humidifier, the humidity dropped from 67% down to 50% and the Frigidaire humidifier maintain this level for the last 5 weeks.
