Reading the manual is paramount to setting it up properly. I like the paucity of lights on the "dashboard." Maybe now I will remember to check the filter as its one of the few lights.

Purchased 50 pint dehumidifier with 3 year warranty. Read owner's manual. Operated according to instructions. Ran one day in room with 76% humidity. No water was collected in reservoir. All post purchase inquiries to manufacturer is via EMAIL ONLY; I sent e-mail and after one week still no reply. Returned dehumidifier.

. . . . to give it a 5-star rating (had it but a week or so) but it seems to be working fine. Setup was easy, and instructions are lucid (a rarity) and controls easy to operate. I had a Frigidaire previously and was reasonably happy with it. Oh, and the hose connection is better on the new model, a key issue.

This unit fills up twice a day in the hottest months & shuts off to tell you it needs to be emptied. The water container easily pulls out with a top that prevents spillage. It turns back on when you replace it back in. The filter let's you know when to rinse it off. It is easily accessible & slides down in the front. You can also set it to run continually or program it with a push of a button to shut off at a humidity level of your choice. Love it & wish I had bought it sooner!

This unit has worked very well bringing my basement humidity levels down in short order. I would liked to of had a feature to set the desired humidity level and have the unit start when needed and auto stop when my desired level was reached. That may be included on other models. I am pleased with this one. Thanks

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We plugged it in and emptied it within 12 hours! We've had it for about a month and have been so happy with the decreased humidity in our finished basement. Highly recommend. Not too loud, but does have a hi/lo fan option, too.

I purchased this appliance to replace on that was recalled. I like the fact that you can hook up a hose to it so you don't have to always empty the bucket. It's quieter then my last appliance (which was only a couple of years old). This dehumidifier has been running for less then a month and seems to do the job. I would like to be able to give another review after a couple of years.

Bought this to reduce the humidity and lessen the work load on my existing AC and also lower my electric bill. Doing the job great....Very impressed!

We looks at consumer reports for the best fit for our dehumidifier needs and this one received good ratings. It ran continually for a few days until it reached the right humidity in our basement. Now it kicks on occasionally. We empty the bucket every other day just to be safe. It is also pretty quiet.

Took five minutes to unpack the dehumidifier, hook up the hose and run the hose to the sump pump pit, then plug it in and turn it on. This unit is the perfect size for our 900 sq fr finished basement. I highly recommend this brand.
