This unit is easily handling my damp basement. I set the desired humidity level and Bam!!!! I'm there. The plug in the back is perfect for my next plan. Which is to pump it out to a sink near by. Brilliant idea regarding putting exhaust fan pointing up. Now you can place virtually anywhere (mines in a corner) and not have to worry about getting to close to the wall.

I had read some buyers concern about the noise level, so was a bit apprehensive. But the noise level is really low, both girls are fine with it. Even though they have to keep their damp towels in the room, the room does not smell musty and doesn't feel humid. They empty the container out in the mornings and both are happy campers. Thank you!

My previous dehumidifier died and it didn't take long for the basement to smell musty again. Bought this new dehumidifer and within just a few days the musty smell was gone. It was easy to set up, but it would have been nice to know that the unit should be tilted slightly backward when using a hose for water drainage.

I have large basement with high condensation on the walls. After measuring the humidity, I turned it on (attached a hose to our sump pump well, so I wouldn't have to keep emptying it), & in 3 days brought the humidity down to 30%<. Great price & effective.

Ready to go right out of the box. The wheels and built in handle for the unit are well designed for facilitating moving it around the room. The built in handle on the water carafe make emptying it easy. Really pulls a lot of water out of the air in a short period.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this unit for my boat (50') in Florida. I had tried two other products. This Frigidaire dehumidifier is without equal. My boat is totally dry, no mold or mildew. And we all know how hot and wet Florida is in the summer. If it works this well on a boat setting on the water in FL, it will undoubtedly work in any home basement / cellar or other placement.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this because it was a newer model and my old one stopped working. I find it very difficult to remover the water bin and put it back in. You need both hands and a foot pr two as it is on wheels and has to go in perfectly straight.

I received it within two days of ordering. The unit is quiet enough, the compressor makes little noise like most when kicked in. Keeps the basement at 45% in humid Iowa, and it's a big basement. But I maybe should have gotten the 70 pint as it has trouble getting it down to 40%. I bought the 3 year warranty, was only $18 at the time. Worth it for as long as most of these last. I would recommend it.
