I bought this unit a month ago cause I needed a replacement for a unit that seemed to work & not work. Due to past purchases of Frigidaire I was confident it would stand up to its name. The unit is quiet on "hi" fan speed and works effortlessly to keep my basement dry & damp-free.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am very happy with the way the dehumidifier works. It dries the air very well. However I wish the tank full light were larger. My old dehumidifier had a big red light which I could notice from the next room. On this one I have to be almost standing over it to see the tiny red light.

I bought this to replace one that stopped working. It pulls in so much moisture that I have been emptying it twice a day. There is an old dehumidifier in the same space, with a smaller tank, and it doesn't get full for several days. I may toss that one and get another one of these.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the second FAD594DWD dehumidifier that I bought for our basement. The first one works great and this one is just as awesome. I have a garden hose hooked up to the new one for direct disposal. Great product!

We looks at consumer reports for the best fit for our dehumidifier needs and this one received good ratings. It ran continually for a few days until it reached the right humidity in our basement. Now it kicks on occasionally. We empty the bucket every other day just to be safe. It is also pretty quiet.

This unit has worked very well bringing my basement humidity levels down in short order. I would liked to of had a feature to set the desired humidity level and have the unit start when needed and auto stop when my desired level was reached. That may be included on other models. I am pleased with this one. Thanks

Unit seems to work well. I like the red indicator for when the bucket is filling up. My only complaint is when emptying the bucket, there is not a definite pour spout so it takes some practice to avoid spilling all of the water that has been collected.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This unit works perfect, only dehumidifying when the maximum desired level of humidity in the room exceeds the level manually set by the end user on the front panel. The one I had prior to this one (this is my second Frigidaire dehumidifier, same model, I have one in a second summer cottage) would run every 2 hours for 2 hours and then off for 2 hours, or run every 4 hours for 4 hours and then off for 4 hours regardless of the humidity level in the space. It would freeze up a lot and I would need to turn it off and wait for the frost to melt on the coil. The Frigidaire unit is super, and the space is perfect and has not gone above the maximum humidity set point in either house.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using the dehumidifier for a month now and it is working as advertiser. Absolutely no issues. Just plug it in and let run. We had to replace and older dehumidifier and this one as perform at or above our expecatations.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We really like the dehumidifier but it is a bit loud. We have it set to 50% RH and it basically runs all of the time. We get 1 full bucket a day. So it works great but we need to turn it off if we are going to watch a movie or something.
