[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this at the beginning of June because I had just moved into a house I had some valuables in the basement (bicycles, pool table, etc) and thought I should get a dehumidifier. This one I found though an independent product review site, and I've been very happy with it. It can remove 50 pints of moisture out of the basement in a short amount of time, and it's incredibly quiet and efficient. Cleaning the filter is super easy as well.

I have the unit placed in my living room to remove excess humidity (Texas style) so my hardwood floors stay flat. This unit works quickly and compared to my last unit (Frigidaire), much quieter. It's not a quiet appliance to use - the only way to achieve that is to buy a much more expensive, whole house unit.

The continuous run option is easier to attach a hose to than any unit that I have ever had. The low temperature feature was the reason I purchased this brand/unit. The operating temperature range stated in the specifications fit my needs perfect. The unit in general is stylish and the cabinet is made very well. What made my final decision for the purchase was the warranty and other ratings. Would I purchase this unit again, YES!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have 2 units and both were easy to setup and are doing a great job keeping the humidity under control in the basement. The noise level is very low and not noticeable during regular activity or conversation. So far so good after about 3 weeks of steady use.

The dehumidifier filled up within 6 hours on day one continuous cycle. I was shocked how much water was in my closet. I bought this because I have a mold problem down in Miami Beach. The area no longer smells musty and mold has stopped growing on my things. On the down side..... the machine is louder then I expected but drowned out by my air-con unit. It also gives off a fair bit of heat thru the fan. I can live with these things.... most annoying is how short the cable is though, will have to buy an extension cord for this. All in all. It's saving my bachelor apt, closet, restroom from mold and odors so I'm happy.

Lightweight, portable, priced right and very dependable with great settings features. External drainage works great! Easy filter cleaning and alerts. Highly suggest giving this product a try!!!

I bought this unit to replace a different brand. The Frigidaire is much quieter than the other brand, and does an effective job of keeping the humidity level at the level I chose. The indicator light for filter cleaning is a definite plus, and the filter is extremely easy to clean. I also like the hose connection at the rear of the unit, as I have a floor drain which allows me to never have to empty the water reservoir.

This appliance is top of the line and worth every penny. We have a good size 2 story home and noticed several months ago that we had some serious moisture issues following an extremely rainy winter. Our house had absorbed so much moisture in the air that there was some mold started to grow on furniture and in closets, and I consider myself a good housekeeper! After a vigilant cleaning attack and removing items that were no longer important to keep and using 2 of these Frigidaire dehumidifiers, 1 upstairs and 1 downstairs, we have been able to restore a healthy environment in our home. There is no more musty smell and the air simply feels more fresh. These appliances have more than paid for themselves and they are easy to use too! Highly recommend!
