This works as advertised. Ran a hose off the back for draining but you may have to clean the hose every couple of months as it clogged up after 2-3 months and the water went to the bucket in the unit. Figured it out after a bit and working fine again. Will it lasts 2-3 years? Time will tell.

Set this unit on 45% humidity, after about a week of emptying the container daily, I attached a hose to it. It has been running for 2 months kicking on & off as needed. it has made a day & night difference down there. This has been an excellent unit so far.

We have it setup with a drain pump and so it runs constantly in our basement due to the humidity, especially in the summer. It has always worked well for us and keeps our basement feeling dry and comfortable.

Our first unit worked well. Bought locally at an appliance dealer. The unit ran very well the first year. We turned it off in winter but when we turned it back on in spring, the coils froze up continually and would not pull moisture from the air. We contacted the local dealer and they looked into it and the warranty on the unit ran out by a couple of weeks. However the exteneded part of the warranty was still good and Frigidaire replaced the unit without hassles. New unit is running very well.

Does a great job decreasing the humidity and is quieter than my first dehumidifier. Shuts off when it reaches desired humidity. Only cons: the humidistat reads 10% higher than actual humidity (based on a freestanding hygrometer) so you need to play with the setting until you get the humidity you want; and the hose drain worked at first but now the collection bucket fills up.

I bought it a month ago and very happy with this purchase. It dehumidifies my big room very quickly. And a bonus side is that my room gets warmer because it is dryer. I definitely recommend it. It is not too noisy, but I turne it off when I am around, and turn it on when I leave the house.

I'm sure this is a great product I really don't know for sure I bought it for my girlfriend for Christmas and a week later I broke up with her. The cupple days I was at her house I did notice a difference in the mustyness in her basement, and I was emptying the container every day so it was pulling the moisture out.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this a few months ago and it did a great job helping my flooded basment carpet dry up. Though I couldn't save the carpet, this along with some other dehumidifiers did help stop the wetness from spreading. I now have it running solo in my basement and empty it every few days, which I feel is cutting down the mositure in the air.

We had an older version of this unit that died, and when I got the new one I was pleasantly surprised by the slimmer profile and slightly quieter operation. They also redesigned the hose output to be much easier to connect. This has been keeping our basement dry since day 1. Easy to empty the tank, too, when running it without an external drain.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this as a replacement to my failed Kenmore 70-pint dehumidifier, and this one pulls moisture out of my basement so much quicker, and is much quieter. I have it self-draining to a boiler drain pump that pumps it uphill to my sewer pipe, and I have it plugged into a separate humidity sensor-on/off outlet, so I have not really tested the automatic humidity-level operation of this dehumidifier on it's own merits. But I am impressed with it!
