I had an earlier version of this model that I ran into the ground because we have a half-finished basement. I replaced it with the same item, plus the updates. This model is quieter than the old one, but is equally easy to move, empty, and maintain. I expect to get several years of reliable service out of this one just like its predecessor.

Really wanted the handle in the collection tank as it makes emptying so much easier. It is possible to remove the plastic splash guard to clean the inside of the tank. So far it has worked as we had hoped, just hope that it will last as long as the one it is replacing. Works great.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was shocked to see how much moisture was in the air in my home, I poured out a gallon of water over in 12 hrs. This unit does an amazing job of drying the air to reduce the humility in the air .

We had another humidifier and were never thrilled with it. It broke and we knew we needed a dehumidifier for our basement (we have had several problems down there and we use the space). My husband did some research and decided we needed this one. We have both been pleased with our purchase. No complaints. It is a solid product.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This unit works perfect, only dehumidifying when the maximum desired level of humidity in the room exceeds the level manually set by the end user on the front panel. The one I had prior to this one (this is my second Frigidaire dehumidifier, same model, I have one in a second summer cottage) would run every 2 hours for 2 hours and then off for 2 hours, or run every 4 hours for 4 hours and then off for 4 hours regardless of the humidity level in the space. It would freeze up a lot and I would need to turn it off and wait for the frost to melt on the coil. The Frigidaire unit is super, and the space is perfect and has not gone above the maximum humidity set point in either house.

I bought this to replace one that stopped working. It pulls in so much moisture that I have been emptying it twice a day. There is an old dehumidifier in the same space, with a smaller tank, and it doesn't get full for several days. I may toss that one and get another one of these.

I have not had any issues with this Frigidaire dehumidifier. A friend recommended it to me. And, the increase in the electric bill was not bad.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this online for our small one-bedroom apartment in Hawaii. Works great from the get go. Relatively quiet and easy to move about. It has made a big difference in the humidity, but you do need to deal with the heat it gives off as part of the dehumidification process. If you don't have an ac to cool the air in the summer, then it will heat things up. Great additional heater in cooler weather.

I bought this item 3 1/2 years ago. Upon plugging it in this summer I found that it was not condensing moisture. The fan would run and the settings appeared normal, but no water. This is not my first dehumidifier so I am familiar with them. A portion of components appear to be under warranty but why would I put money into a dead horse and then find it may happen again?
