I recently purchased two of these dehumidifiers. I found one of my older units inoperative in May and purchase the first Frigidaire and it seems to work well. More recently my other old unit failed, so I bought another Frigidaire. Time will tell if they are really good products. I'd like to get at least 5 years of use.

This works beautifully! Set the humidity level, fan to high or low, and turn it on. It runs either until the bucket is full, or the humidity level has been reached. It beeps to tell you to empty the bucket. Took 24 hours to get the humidity down the first time we used it, but now I just empty the bucket once every day or day and a half. Very happy with it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We had a bad storm come through and it took out the power so I didn't have a sump pump which caused flooding in my basement. Carpet got a little wet. The dehumidifier is awesome! Got the carpet dry and definitely removed a lot of water. It is nice and quiet too!

i purchased this unit in feb 29 2016 it ran under the correct temps between late march till about sept 2016 then was put away for cold weather as the humidity level and temps are not to be run per mfg. Manual upon march 2017 the unit constantly will not run for but short time without throwing an "EC" code even contatced frigidaire about this and said they do not honor the warranty for that unit as it was this many weeks out of warranty no goodwill offered or anything just sorry and have a nice day do not buy also this company is in multiple recalls with these units if they are of certain time frame parts

Bought this for my basement, approx 1000 sq ft. So far so good! I'm impressed and once you set the thermostat it doesn't run until it needs too. The one little problem I had was I followed the directions on emptying the water pan. But, I found out if you just pull it straight out, it works, no need to put your hands on the side.

It is the same model as I had previously, which has lasted several years, unlike some other brand dehumidfiers I have bought. This one, the bucket is a bit hard to get in, but that is the only fault. Some of the other models by Frigidaire have problems with shutting off, after the bucket overfills, but this model works well.

I had no idea that this item would make such a difference in our home. I previously fought to keep mold from developing in closets on the North end of house. This gadget ended the battle and made the house more comfortable to boot!!! I have previously used the protection plan as well...no hassle refund when an item failed. I was pleasantly shocked.

I don't run it continuously; only a couple times a week and it solves the problem. I also haven't seen a spike in my electric bill which I really like.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I live in Florida and have a 121-square-foot outdoor shed. It would be impossible to store anything in the shed without controlling the humidity. I bought this Frigidaire dehumidifier in early March to replace a 12-year-old Whirlpool dehumidifier that was no longer keeping up. The Frigidaire works great, and the 50 pint capacity is fine. It is also quieter than the old one was. I have a hose that runs through the wall so that I never have to empty the reservoir. I'm quite satisfied with the Frigidaire so far.
