I bought the dehumidifier a few months back, and it has been in nearly constant use since. The capacity is enough to run for 24 hours before requiring an emptying, and the clean filter light comes in handy to make sure I am keeping the unit from plugging up. The system is powerful enough to dehumidify my 1800 sq. ft. house.

This is my second purchase of this unit. The first one ran for a few hours and then shut off with an error message that states to call for service. After unplugging and restarting, it happened over and over. I figured it was a fluke so I returned it and bought a new one. This one did not have any problems until I realized that the unit never turned off. I changed settings and it just ran continuously showing the humidity in the room was at 90%, when I know it was much, much less than that. After three days of running it still said 90%. So I am returning it again and will try another brand. On the good side, the unit was nice, had a big water tank and it was easy to take the tank out, carry and dump.

I live on the gulf coast so it is important to keep the humidity low in my house and garage. Allergy doctor says to keep the humidity below 50% so mold will not grow in the house.

This unit runs well and quietly. We have a super damp basement and this just keeps suckling up the water. Here in NH we are in the midst of a pretty severe daughter and we use the water to water plants. Win win for us! Less dampness in the cellar and water for the plants.

We have been using this humidifier for a month. It works well and is quiet enough to be background noise. I do empty 2-3 times a day, so we probably should have bought the 70 pint for our 1200 sq foot basement. I like the compact size of the 50-pint, on the other hand. For a couple of months a year, it isn't an issue.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Have had this unit for about a month and seems to be working well. Not sure I understand the humidistat logic though. I set it at a specific level, and the unit starts at that level of humidity, but then it changes. At first I thought that it was reflecting the current humidity, but the number is lower in many cases than I set it at, and the unit is still running. Haven't got the electric bill yet, so still TBD on the effect.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It's a dehumidifier, it does what it is supposed to do. It is not quiet, have to turn it off when we want to watch TV or when we have guests over. Wish it came in different colors so that it would 'blend' in to the decor better. It does stand out on color and sound. Would purchase again.

The difference it made at our residence (in the 1000 SF great room) was immediately noticeable. We wish now (that the unit has been discontinued) that we would have purchased 2 or 3 more units for additional areas in the house where moisture tends to accumulate during hot, humid, NC summers

I just hope it will last longer than my last unit (not Frigidaire) lasted. I am very pleased and would recommend this unit to anyone.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] i have had a hard time getting a dehumidifier to last more than maybe 2 years and my basement isn't that big nor very wet and i maintain them according to the op manual. i bought this one because it had good reviews and am hoping the reviews hold true. so far it is working great!!! i have had many other brands and hope this one lasts longer than the others.
