Have only used for about a month. Still learning on how to use overall. Easy to hook up. A little slow with printing. Only con so far I have noticed is having to change the paper tray around when printing 4x6 pictures. With my HP I could change on screen with the separate 4x6 paper tray. Scanning is easy. Overall so far a good printer.

Overall, the printer works as expected. It remains to be seen what life the cartridges will give, but I am hoping for the best. My single qualm is with the power on status light. The brightness and incessant blinking are a major distraction to getting to sleep if the printer is in a bedroom. I had to tape over several small pieces of semi transparent tape to modify the brightness and still allow a dimmer light to shine thru. I think a small non-blinking LED would suffice. Preferably the LED would be colored red instead of green as red is less distracting in the dark from my experience with alarm clocks.

I am enjoying the Brother printer, especially the ink economy. The printer was easy to set up and getting running smoothly. Print results are quite good, better than reviews claimed, that colors are duller. The last two printers I had, a Canon and an Epson, gave no better results, and used a lot of expensive ink. It was the lower cost of ink that attracted me to the Brother printer. I haven't been disappointed.

This is a piece of junk (and I'd use stronger language but the site won't let me). This has consistently NOT WORKED, no matter how many times I restart it, re-input my WiFi, etc. I have a laptop and a desktop, and my husband has the same and we have problems on ALL the computers, and they're both PCs and Macs. This only got one star because I couldn't give it ZERO. WASTE OF MY TIME AND MONEY.

I have used this printer now for 3 months in our home office. It has been used extensively because I have had to telework at home on a big project quite a bit during that period. This printer is well made and as advertised, very stingy on ink. I am amazed how little ink I have used. I do not hesitate to recommend it.

I boughtvthis unit because I was tired of being screwed by the other "big name" printer companies.. I saw the price of Brother ink refills and how long they lasted and I was sold.. But I never expected to have a printer that provided high quality copies, that was feature filled, that has work first time everytime and was a snap to set up.. Wow! What a great product. Buy it you won't be disappointed.

I've only just used this to print and that is why I can't give a 5 star rating. I haven't scanned or copied. It was super easy to set up with the excellent directions and pictures. I think it will be a great printer based on all that I have read. It is as well made product.

It works well in printing, but the first thing I noticed in setting it up is how cheaply made in plastic it is...man, I would give anything for stainless steel or something else...the paper tray carrier is small...would love a unit that holds 200+ blanks...the items I did put through worked faster than my Epson WF, and the print is very clear.

I replaced an older Brother MFC which always worked well for me. I replaced it due to cost of ink. My new printer has a faster print speed and has much larger ink capacity and the replacement ink cartridges are less expensive. The screen is also much easier to read and is a touch screen. What's not to like?

After my HP All in One began to forget it was connected to my desktop, and after paying enough in cartridges to send a kid to a four year college, I bit the bullet and bought a Brother. Duplex printing, always ready to go, and a cartridge that will outlast a desk full of HP inks, it is a pleasure to own it. And....the tech help is there within seconds when you call.
